starting fast 5 today

Basically you have a five hour eating window and a daily 19 hour fast, I find it suits me bettr than alternate day which I find really hard. I plan to start my window at 4 pm, ill be grand till 1 but the last couple of hours I find really tough. I find this way of eating though gives me more energy, I tend to get very sleepy after eating carb (prob insulin resistant) so eating only in the evening feels a lot better and I tend to crave healthy food after fasting anyway.

Will do carrot, what do you do the other days? Today was good, started eating @ 13.30, closed window @ 18.30, I ate well but didnt binge (good for me). I'd like to move my window to 16.00 but I find it hard to do, might do it gradually, aim for 14.30 tomorrow, something like that. I love intermittent fasting it just kinda feels natural.
 
Hey guys just having a read and finding this interesting...............do you exercise by the way when doing this and what do you do at weekends?
 
I exercise as normal, which isn't much to be honest with the kids off school. I prefer exercising during fasting but don't overdo it. I do the same at weekend eat from 16.00 to 21.00, allows for a few drinks too, I'm not as strict at the weekend, sometimes I'll have an 8 hour window to accommodate occasions etc. I feel much better which is why I continue even though for me the weight loss is pretty slow.

How much have you lost and how long did it take xxx
 
Cor thats sounds like well complicated lol!!! Im just doing clean eating and lots of gym!! Was doing well til holiday and put on loads"!!

I did try the alternate day fasting but dont know if i gave it chance or not really x
 
Missie i have made it really complicated but its only because i have some commitments at the moment which means i can't always stick to the Fast 5 window everyday. Hopefully won't be long before everything is much simpler!
 
Yeah I guess that makes sense though!!! A have si many commitments too xxx

I'm doing a juice fast with little mumma starting Monday!!!!!!
 
I'm on day 5 feeling great day 1& 2,were very tough but I'm in the swing of it a bit more now. I know I'll probably lose slowly on this plan but that still a lot better than not losing at all or gaining which is what is was doing, plus I think I can eat this way long term, it feels natural to me.
 
Well yesterday was a disaster, I ate far too much and didn't close my eating window when I planned, and now I'm hungrytoday, but I'm not giving up, this is last chance saloon for me, it's the only way of eating I can stick to and enjoy, I know if I went low carb id lose quicker but to be honest I don't want to, if I can lose slowly and steadily this way I'll be happy
