Trouble sleeping on DD - any suggestions?

I had my first proper down day yesterday, I went without eating until 5.30pm, then had dinner (salmon fillet and stir fry veg) and at 8pm a cafe latte vlcd pack as a snack. It came to just over 500 cals and I was feeling v smug.

However, I just couldn't sleep. I didn't feel particularly hungry but tossed and turned till 1am when I caved and had a sausage sandwich (400 cals).

Does anyone else have this sleep problem on down days? Is there anything else I can do? Any help would be much appreciated.
 
Oh yes, I think quite a few people report that when they start.

I saved a chai tea for bedtime - strong flavours fool me really well. But that is all I have ever done, except gritting my teeth and getting on with it. It does pass but is probably one of the main reasons that people give up.
