IF newbie

Hi,

I'm 33 years old and 5ft 4... Currently 10st 6. I train at the gym 4-5 times a week and am currently on day one of IF. I'm not doing JUUDD or 5:2 but am doing it in time windows to eat. For me, setting myself a time window of 3pm-9pm fits in well with my training plus I'm planning on a 24hour fast once a week which will be on a Thursday -Friday evening.
Having spoken to my personal trainer, he advocates this type of eating and has seen some really goo results. I eat fairly clean with a treat/cheat meal once a week, but I couldn't go paleo with my food. I know I wouldn't be able to be that strict haha! I think I will start a diary after this week as I want to trial it and see how I feel on it first. I'll keep u posted on this thread on how I get on for this week. :)
 
Welcome to the group Tano. Sounds like you have a good plan going there. I don't know if your PT mentioned it but there's a great site called leangains run by a guy who advocates a 16:8 way of eating and body builds. In fact i think that's what Hugh Jackman did to get in shape for the new wolverine movie.

So day one:

Started an hour earlier as we went shopping and it made it easier to eat lunch an hour earlier. I lay ate at 9pm last night and woke up this morning having a fruit tea.
Did a circuit class at the gym for an hour and felt ok.
Got ready and took lunch on the go on the way to shopping. At 2pm I had a banana, an apple and some Brazil nuts.

Just had dinner: wholemeal pasta with chicken, chorizo and low fat creme fraiche with a fiery pesto. Had a caramel light frappuccino from Starbucks while out. Still have 2 hours so will eat a small something later on, not sure what yet. Been a bit moody/snappy today but I think that's more down to a crap nights sleep last night hah!

Think ill work out my calories and update x
 
Woke up this morning not hungry at all. Had a fruit tea. Spent most of the night reading the IF book. They suggest an 8 hour eating window and I've currently set myself a 6 hour eating window. May have to make it an 8 hour window next week when I'm back at work. So it would be 12pm-8pm. Going to stick to 6 hour today and will go 2-8 again :)
 
Hi everyone,

Broke my fast at 2:30pm with a costa fruit cooler and a bag of crisps (was out and about)

Had an early dinner of tomato and mozzarella salad with a tomato flatbread (half)

Will have something small later jut before my feeding window closes haha (sound like an animal)
 
Had a yogurt, banana and a clementine at about 6:30pm. Feeding window almost closed :) will add up cals in a bit and post x

Morning!!

Fruit tea is on the go and I've just weighed... A pound and a half down on yesterday :D fantastic! So pleased. So Sunday morning I was 10st 7.5
Yesterday: 10st 6
Today: 10st 4.5
 
I've got that "buzzing" feeling like you get when u get into ketosis on a VlCD diet on day 3. Feel like I have loads of energy x
 
Went cleaning with a friend. At 2pm I had a banana and 40g cashew nuts. Jut came back from 2nd cleaning job and I've had half a reduced fat smoked sausage with BBQ dip. Dinner will be Mediterranean cod fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce and mixed bean salad with tomatoes. :D
Oh that's after body combat tonight at 6-7pm :)
