New Year: New Goals

Hi everyone

I hope you all had a good Christmas and a fine New Year.

I am still here, however I am now starting to struggle. Just before Christmas my hair had fallen out in lumps, I had weak fine hair in the first place, however due to the state it was in I had to cut it all off. Initially I was ok, but on Boxing Day angry at not getting one present from partner, children or step children when looking at myself in the mirror the tears started and I could not stop and so my first slip in 10 months started.

I feel really disheartened, but I have promised myself, that from tomorrow, I will be back on track. I have also readjusted my goal weight and I will see how I feel and look when I get there.

The positives have been at almost 12 stone lost I have a new life, I am currently studying in the evenings and hoping to go to University in September. People who have not seen me in a long time are shocked at my appearance and the majority have been pleased for me. I can shop on the high street something I have not done in 20yrs. I still have a few stone to go before the whole high street is open to me lol. I have also booked a great holiday as treat as I have not flown for years due to my weight.

Overall the positives out do the negatives, but losing my hair has been a real blow to my self esteem, but I still love Lighter Life and all the benefits it has bought to my life.

See you all over the next few months.

Hello Pancras

I'm so sorry that the hair loss has been such a negative for you.
I did lose some hair and when I went to the hairdresser at Christmas she said there is a noticeable difference compared with 6 months ago. My hair has taken that long to get almost back to normal.
I was on abstinence for 10 months andhave maintained for a year. I hope that will give you some hoe that things are likely to settle eventually.

I am so sorry that you felt so sad. I would have done too. The emotions are always what make us vulnerable to feeling like it's not worth persevering.
But you are doing this for YOU, not for other people.
Look at all the positives you have mentioned in your post, the changes you have already made to your life.
Congratualtions Pancras.
My motto is "don't let the bu**ers get you down.

Thank you Slenda for your words, they have been most kind
