I think it all depends on what it is that you've eaten? Sorry I couldn't have been more help! X

if it is carbohydrate, sugar, fruit or anything like that you can expect it to happen pretty quick. Low carb/no carb food such as protein based things like meat should be ok.
Either way it is going to take your 2-3 days to get back on track.
