Your allowed to take dulcalax, but let me just warn you. I took 2 yesterday morning and by 3pm my tummy was in so much pain, ive had 2 children and the cramps i got were similar to childbirth contractions. I was actually crying out in pain, and it didnt just make me go once, i went 8 times ! It was horrific, and i will NEVER be doing that again ! x

Dulcolax doesn't actually stop you from being constipated. It softens all the stuff in your upper colon but not anything in your lower bowel where the obstruction is. So the softened stuff then needs to get past the hard stuff to get out. Hence the pain. Sorry for the graphic description but hopefully it explains that taking laxitives won't help if you're constipated. Drink plenty of water, have some phsyllium husks and it will push everything out. And try to get hold of some coton tablets as they will help your colon muscles move faster so things won't come to a standstill due to lack of fibre.
Hope your tum is feeling a bit less grumbly soon!

Some people are sensitive to inulin which is in the water flavourings. it is a form of fibre but for some people it really isn't good.I find i can have about one glass a day of this stuff. However i have heard that you can build up a tolerance to it if you introduce it slowly.

I think your talking about dulco-ease, thats just a softner to loosen the bowel. Dulcolax is a pretty strong laxative lol as i learned myself the hard way x
