Day one on the Diet!

Hello im new to this and well as it says above, its my first day on the lighter life diet and i'm finding it soo hard.

i had the apple & cinnamon porridge this morning,
the vegetable soup this afternoon, and then I had the strawberry shake with loads of ice and now im about to have the mushroom soup!

but the problem is that i'm so hungry.
:(
 
Hi, its my 3rd day today. Hunger will pass in the next few days but dont be tempted to eat and remember why you started this diet. Thanks.
 
Your spot on, remember why you started it! Once your in ketosis, you wont be hungry :) stick with it x
 
Others are so right just hang in there because it will be so worth it.
Hope tomorrow is easier and then next day will be and then in ketosis and you'll be singing.

hope you're feeling a bit better today.
Another suggestion that can help is really try to keep your water intake up as this can really help with both hunger and any headaches that are possible before ketosis.
So if you feel hungry have a glass of water. This also is a good habit to get into because when in ketosis often what we think of as hunger is in fact thirst.

i'm feeling so weak today, is that supposed to be happening?
but yeah i have been drinking loads of water..
Also how long does it take to go in to ketosis??

Take it easy on yourself in the first week. Stick to the plan 100%, keep the water up and try to do little else. Your body is doing a big detox and getting rid of carbs, caffeine, sugars and all the other nasties we ingest and are addicted to. That is going to leave you feeling rough. it is part of the process, but in a couple of days you will feel amazing.
 
I felt REALLY weak last few days but now on day 5 & feeling much better :) stick in it will pass x
 
Hey, just wanted to say that though i still feel a bit down, i'm glad that i have resisted temptation and stuck to the diet. hopefully i will not feel as cold after a few days.

Hello, its the end of day 6 and its going pretty good blodwen!
I can't get weighed this week because its mothers day and the meetings not happening, but i sneakly used the home scales and it seems that i have actually lost 11 lbs!! =)
But hopefully will find out how much I've lost by the end of week 2. Fingers crossed it'll be a good loss! X

Glad it's going well and even if your scales are a bit out anywhere near 11 lbs in 6 days is amazing
That will probably be near to or more than a stone in a fortnight. How else could you get that sort of loss

Keep with it and be strong today if there's any temptation around.

Yeah it probably is a bit out but i think it actually kept me on track.

I started a week before you and would have killed anyone that came near me with f**d the first week. I was so hungry all the time. Just had a bubble bath and went to bed early most nights. It does get easier. I actually had to be reminded to have my fourth pack yesterday. It will all be worth it and we will achieve what we want to. Keep positive.
 
Hello Angelnet, thanks for the advice, I have actually been having a hot bath to relax me and I have to say it that after a week I feel so happy.
I don't feel hungry too much only when theres temptation around but i just think about all the new clothes i'm going to buy when i've lost the weight..
Soo keeping positive! x
