    Lighter Life or Cambridge Diet???

    [quote=Alibongo;466905]I had a problem with my surgery too, but there is another nearby who have an LL clinic twice a week so I went there. Your LL counsellor should be able to help you, if not you will be able to find a private one. It is a shame that GPs have such different opinions on this.

    Hi Ali

    Well the LL Counsellor called me today - its a def no without the signed medical. I have also been enquiring about the Cambridge Diet and have been accepted on it without any medical.

    Have you tried it before? I don't know what to do? Any advice?

    Hi Susie,

    I tried CD and the shakes etc were very similar. The only thing for me is that you didnt get the Counselling like you do on LL, which I needed. On CD I fell off the wagon after 1 month. I have been on LL for nearly 10 weeks now.

    If you think you can do it without the extra counselling, I cant see any difference. CD is cheaper, but you are paying for Councelling session with LL.

    Hope this helps.

    I lost 5 1/2 stone on WW in 2006 and then gained 3 stone in 2007 after swearing to never go back.

    Fingers crossed that this will work for me.

    Thanks

    Yes LL will not do it without a signed and stamped form unfortunately. I don't think that any of the other diets do that though.
    When I was looking at this, I looked at CD and LL and I really do believe that LL is the better programme if you have eating problems, which I think you do as I did/do (LL has ironed most of that out).
    I have been through the same thing, losing weight and putting it straight back on again, most of us on here have.

    I have bags more confidence with the tools LL has given me, I am far more positive about keeping the weight off for good.

    If you really can't find a doctor (private or NHS) to sign the form then I would do what someone else suggested in another post and ask your doctor for counselling and do CD.

    Can your LLC not recommend a surgery that will do it? Her other customers can't have had a problem otherwise she wouldn't have a job!

    CD is a fine diet and I would have chosen it had I not been able to get into LL.

    Me too. This is the first diet I've done where my HEAD has changed - not just my weight! Its the first time I REALLY believe that I will keep it off forever - and I WILL!
    Wk 1 = 7.6 Wk 2 = 7.4 Wk 3 = 3.3
    Wk 4 = 2.8 Wk 5 = 5.5 Wk 6 = Ill
    Wk 7 = 6.6 Wk 8 = 3.3 Wk 9 = 2.8
    Wk10 = 2.7 Wk11 = 5.6 Wk12 = 0.8
    Wk13 = 5.0 Wk14 = 3.3 Wk15 = 3.3
    Wk16 = 0.8 Wk17 = 2.2 Wk18 = 4.4
    Wk19 = 2.4 Wk20 = 1.5 Wk21 = Hols
    Wk22 = 3.9 TOTAL LOSS = 75lbs!

    Target Reached - 9st on 20.02.08
    Aim = to stay at 9st (126lb) for rest of my life!

    Management (weighed on a Tuesday):
    Wk 1 = 124 Wk 2 = 121.2 Wk 3 = 119.4 Wk 4 = 118 Wk 5 = 117 Wk 6 = 115.6 Wk 7 = 115 Wk 8 = 116 Wk 9 = 117 Wk 10 = 117 Wk 11 = 117

    Ticker reflects my daily weight - so will show daily fluctuation

    Good luck on CD Susie, there are loads of people on here who have just as amazing losses as with LL.
