About to embark on the LL journey........
I've decided now is the time to start LL total............ I have gained and lost weight in the past but am now probably at the heaviest I have ever been .
I've had success with Cambridge and Slimming World previously, but I became complacent and the weight slowly crept back on.
I have my consultation tomorrow with the LL counsellor and am determined that I will succeed and maintain this time. I need to realistically lose 3 stone, hopefully by Christmas. I've read that weight loss on this plan averages out to around 1 stone a month, is this true?

You can do it! 3 stone before Xmas is definitely achievable in 12 weeks if you stick to the plan and throw yourself in to the counselling. I have found the counselling to be the best bit about LL. yes it costs more but if you can sort out your mind - the body follows!! Good luck xx

It was the counselling sessions aspect of LL that made me opt for this particular plan as opposed to Cambridge or SaveandSlim. I'm hoping it will be worth the extra cash.
I think the councelling is really important. Since I reached goal I've been having personal therapy too (not thro LL) and that has really helped me to get to a point where I can maintain.
Lost 130lbs from July 2011 to June 2012. Have been maintaining since then but now have returned to lose the extra I put on whilst trying to work out how to maintain!
Maintenance extra weight 15 lbs.
Started SnS on 6th Sept to lose the excess.
start weight 12 st 1 lb - target 11 st 0 lb
week 1 : 11 st 8 lb (7 lb lost) week 2 : 11 st 7.5 lb (0.5 lb lost)
week 3.5 : 11 st 6 lbs (1.5 lb lost)
Yep, i have discovered that stopping going to maintenance meetings really caused me to backtrack. the fact is we can't do this on our own. everyone needs support and there is no shame in that.
this time you will do it right and get to exactly where you want to be both physically and mentally.

weeks 1-8: lost a further 4 pounds
Restarted LL at 11 stone 11. On my way back down - this all stemmed from a long holiday with too many carbs and too much wine!
week one: -5 Week 2: STS
Week 3...hmmm +3
Week 4... +3
Week 5 - now heading over to the low carb board to get myself properly sorted.
