Games to keep you busy when you need to stop thinking about food!

This is for Corey really as I said I would post some games.

Here are 3 of my favourites - they will keep you really busy and are a nice change form sudoku.

Squares - You have to think quick!

grid lock (the addictive puzzle game) - game You have to think hard

And my favourite - how far can you go? Play free online games! | 3D Logic

    Enjoy

    Cheers

Thanks - all in all I've lost nearly 5 stone this year as I lost a bit on Atkins the week before LL too. I am very happy!

As for will power, I think we all have it. It goes up and it goes down, but I ask myself whenever I am tempted "Do I want to stay on the diet and get slim and healthy, or do I want to eat a piece of (insert whatever - cheese, curry, bacon, chicken, chilli etc. - for me it is savoury) and get fat?"

It is all in the mind - hunger, anxiety, restlessness, boredom, etc. You choose how you want to use the feelings and the decision you want to make as a result of them.

I'm sure it is different for everybody, but for me it is simple - what do I want most. That doesn't mean it is always easy, but for the most part I have been suprised how easy this diet is. I even feel guilty about how easy it is. I don't feel lots of hunger, but occasionally when I do, I try to think of it as a positive, and that it is my body telling me it is going to consume some of my own fat very soon!

I want to use any trick I can to get me through this - whether it is positive thinking, visualisation, pinching my earlobes, I don't care - I just want to get the job dne as quickly as my body will allow. I chose LL because of the group sessions with counselling to help me. Without that and the support it gives (and forums like this of course) I am sure I would have had a takeaway after week 1 just to congratulate myself on doing so well! - Now that is twisted thinking of the top drawer!

I realise that I have rambled on and on, when I intended to simply answer the question, but it is good to get my thoughts down on 'paper'

    Enjoy the games!

Come on you lot - apart from the games in the Arcade section of Minimins, what are your favourite online games that keep you busy when you need??

I am afraid I tempt myself away by going to do the horses outside. Not much of a game player sorry. Although I like charades. Sometimes play patience, quite boring really.

I enjoyed reading your post about how you stay on track it get things into perspective.
First target - stay on track for a whole day. - Achieved
2nd target - lose some weight this week. - Achieved - lost 1lb
3rd target - Stay on track (accept for Sunday) til Christmas.

Everyday is a gift, thats why the call it the present.

    Hi!
There I was this morning thinking "Hurrah, we have a highly specific and total IT meltdown at work today" and I was going to be able to hop on the Internet, the only thing working, and play some of Mikey's games.
Tell you what, somone has a warped sense of humour, so far we've had:-

1 door forced open and destroyed by a locksmith, after IT lost the key and simply had to get in there now. I might add it was a door to the attic and I've done 4 floors at a dead run about 6 times - sheesh!

1 gardener who has just lined the flowerbeds in what looks like builder's agregate and not the smart shingle we requested.

3 old witches from the secretarial pool stiring again.

1 stack of post the postie forgot to bring this morning, when our post lady was in to distribute it. Guess who had to do that!!

and finally when I get back to my desk for a surupticious soup and game play...

1 member of staff in tears waiting for me.

It's 3pm now and I would like to get under my desk and hide for the rest of the afternoon!!!! (I'll take a laptop with me and have a go at some of these games now - concentration may not be my strong point though!)

    Have a great week-end guys!

Hope you don't find anything you don't want to under your desk ... or realise that the cleaner hasn't cleaned it for two years otherwise you'll spend the rest of the afternoon having to clear it out!
