You work them the same as you would work a meal now and there is no strict 'you must have this then' rules. Some have the breakfast lunch and dinner with desert thing, some have all four in the evening. The bar after week one is handy for work time saving the others for home.

The only rule you must keep up is that you must have all four within the 24 hour period for your nutrition value and your water intake.

You will soon find a routine that suits you. Get yourself a little hand blender too, they taste better zuzzed.

Good luck and see you around!

Hi all. I used to be a fit and healthy chap up til started uni and gave up playing football. 6 years down the line im now at a point where basic walks leave me out of breath and im desperate to lose weight and be able to train/play again and regain self confidence which died a long time ago... my father put me in touch with someone who was on LL and loved it and is happy now and maintaining a good weight without the packs but ive also read some horror stories online...

What have been the common side effects people experience? Im aiming to lose between 5-6 stone. How long in general is the process.. the minimum i want to lose is 4 stone as this should put me at a weight I can exercise again at... any ideas how long this would take.... also do the foodpacks work or do you go hungry?? and i guess im right in asuming NO ALCOHOL! lol... sounds a painful time.. is it worth it? How much will this cost a week roughly?

found the questions above useful, meeting for the initial session on Thursday. Im hoping my life will change for the better but have some concerns hence coming here seeing help from people actually on it rather than selling it

hi there
you will prob lose 5 stone in the 14 weeks if you stick to it 100% - blokes tend to lose it really fast - mind you is it 8 weeks for blokes, i have a feeling it might be.
Pete or sean on here are the guys to ask - maybe if you post in the main section more people will see your question.

it def works - you do not feel hungry as you are in ketosis if you stick completely to the plan- which you must!

there are no extras allowed except black tea and coffee - so def no alcohol - but it sooooooo worth it

there can be side effects but a lot of people don't suffer any - i just felt cold all the time, which is hardly a massive problem.

i started in january - was about done by the end of may and then did the route to management, which is important to get you back into eating properly - not everyone completes this but the ones who do seem to maintain better.

i have only gained 1lb since finishing so am very pleased with that.

there are scare stories out there, and ones where people put the weight and more back on - but tbh if you go back to your old eating habits you will do. LL works on changing your attitudes.

good luck
daisy x

Is this something worth trying?

I'm thinking of trying LL but am nervous! I'm 53 years old, 5'2" and weigh over 12st - I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror, nothing fits and I honestly don't recognise my face at the moment! Are the health implications really bad?

Hi Jo,
2 possible reasons...
-you will get a form for your GP to complete before you can start
-there are 4 week modules and there can't be new starters joining a group until they are starting a new module
