    Talking Starting LL tomorrow!!

    Hi guys,

    Just found out about this site yesterday and am really glad I did! Its so good to know that there are lots of other people out there who are going to be doing the same thing as me!

    I'm starting LL tomorrow and really excited! I'm thinking of keeping a blog to let others know how I'm doing and to help keep me focussed. I'm aiming to lose 4 stone and any more would be AMAZING as I would then be what I consider to be skinny but 4st would be great!

    Any hints, tips etc and stories of your experience would be much appreciated, and any inspiration too!

    Travelling...

    We are going Inter-railing round Europe for a month. We're intending to cover France, Spain, Italy, Greece, some Greek islands and then fly back to London! I can't wait to get into my bikini xx

    Not good..

    Hey i've stuck to it and feeling ok so thats a good start. However so far I havent like any flavours except chicken and chocolate. Dont fancy living off that for the next few months!

    Looking forward to the bars as I know i like 2 of them.. still i dont know if i will be able to handle the same 3 flavours every day.

    Actually I could do with some advice- I have seen on the CD that there are loads more flavours and most people seem to actually enjoy them rather than wanting to vomit at the taste! I really think the group therapy is important though, but not sure which is worse- giving up the group therapy and staying on the wagon or staying with the group therapy and possibly falling off it! Plus there is an added bonus that the CD is half the price!

    What do you think I should do? HELP!! x

    I thik thats one only you can decide! For me the group therapy is what makes it worthwhile! You're early in so I would suggest giving yourself time to adjust to the packs. Its a bit like when I gave up smoking & hated the taste of the lozenges and was reminded by the coucellor that I hated the taste of cigs when I first had one but managed to adjust!! (now not smoked for 1m 5 days after 21 years of smoking!)...Just stick with it & give Ll a chance I would - yes its expensive but if you stick with t & go through the process then you're more likely to keep the weight off as you'll be identifying why you got there & how to change but it really is your decision!

    I thought the same about leaving it a while but the more I think about it the sillier it seems staying on LL. They are repeating week 1 AGAIN next week so I'm not gonna get any counselling and it would be easier to drop out early on when I havent even met half of my group...

    You know what, I've just read back what I've written and I think I know what I need to do. I'll just have to make sure my CDC is gonna be supportive enough to get me thru!

    There you go - at least you've made the decision! Reading your other post you do need to respect the counsellor and when I went to the blurb eve I wasnt that impressed with the woman but she's not the one who leads my group (a stand in!) so hoping it wil be ok! I think alot depends on the councellor - try CD & see how it goes - you could always try another LL counsellor later if you dont get on with CD!

    Thanks 'in search of me' I agree, my LLC comes across as very well off and not that bothered about us but more about her time and her own life! There isnt anyone else in the area but I know there are 4 CDCs locally so if the first one doesnt work out I can easily switch.

    I bet you cant wait to get started now! Im really surprised at how not hungry I feel. I do think that the fact its TOTM helps in a strange way as the only discomfort is related to that and is very similar to the possible side effects so if I am suffering any side effects they are being covered up! Excellent. Might be some peoples idea of hell but I think the hunger thing is all in the mind- or at least, you can control it with your mind. My tummy is rumbling right now but I know I dont need to eat so I'm just drinking and getting on with it!

    I drove past Sainsburys today and thought "how ridiculous, a building that size all to sell something that I dont even need." When you think about it its no wonder so many Brits are o/weight or obese as there are so many temptations- supermarkets, restaurants, vending machines, cafes, newsagents.... its impossibe to get away from food. Believe me I have noticed it the last few days. Not jealous of those who can eat mind, I know I am getting all the goodness I need without any of the hassle, and doing myself good at the same time!

    YAYYYYYY i feel good now, this is very therapeutic! xx

    Hi Wannabslim I am going to my first LL session tonight so tomorrow will be the start of my water torture! you are a few days ahead of me and i will be reading your blog with interest! the thing i'm dreading most is getting on the scales tonight i know its going to be bad but at least can calculate how much i need to lose before my sister's wedding in June!
