LipoTrim for MEN...

Hi folks

I've browsed this lipotrim forum and found lots of postings by ladies, but I thought I'd start a thread to say how it goes for ***MEN*** who may be interested....

First of all, LipoTrim works !!!

I've not been clinically obese, but my BMI was 29 and I have struggled for the past 10years (I'm now 35) to lose the 3 stone that make me look bloated and keep my performance sluggish......

I found it particularly embarassing as I work in the medical profession as a BUPA consultant, and I always thought that when you see an overweight health professional, it doesn't inspire patient confidence in your knowledge of how the body works!!!

I have tried increased exercise programmes at the gym, reduced calorie diets, atkins, herbalife, slimfast and more!!! I never lost the weight i have lost and am losing with LipoTrim.

LipoTrim for Men consists of two large sachets to make up into a drink each day. I usually have half a sachet with water at breakfast, half a sachet at lunch and a full sachet with the family at tea time! (I did try the chicken soup sachet but I found it too unbearable to swallow!!!!!! It really is gross) However, I must say that the milkshake sachets are fantastic. You can shake them by hand, but I blend them in the mixer with some crushed ice, and they come out like a decent smoothie bar milkshake (choc, strawberry or vanilla).

As a complete meal replacement programme for the first period of weeks, it's a big change for your psychology, but hey, that's what I needed. Working long shifts in clinics, I found is was living on vending machines in corridors out of hours, canteen crisps, snacks, sausage rolls... and a takeaway on the way home after work at midnight. Little wonder I put on weight!

A few weeks into LipoTrim and I don't have much time to miss food! The shakes keep me FULL, even for a 12hour shift, and I happily walk past vending machines and boxes of chocolate offers from patients, etc, as I honestly dont have that constant craving for sugar boosts and comforts.

I have not felt tired, faint or weak on LipoTrim as a busy bloke..... when I have a 'tea break' and feel i deserve something from the cafeteria (or starbucks with the family at weekends!) there is plenty to choose from in the way of black coffees, espresso, or just a bottle of water.

I went into Ketosis quickly on day 3 (confirmed by urinalaysis, but obvious because of sour whey smelly breath - controlled by frequent listerine mouth rinses!!!)

At first, during social events in the first week especially, the 'smell' of a home cooked dinner would make me feel hungry, but once in Ketosis, I was pretty chilled with it all.

In summary,

-I am on track to lose one and a half stone in my first month (I'm looking to lose two and a half stone in total).

-I enjoy getting the weekly supplies from my pharmacist colleague as she weighs me and gives me a good 'pep talk' and verbalises the progress I've made as a 3rd party. For me, the consultation that is included free by supplying pharmacists is the strength of this program. Pick your local pharmacy supplier carefully!!!!!!! You will need a good mentor.

-by going 'cold turkey' on all food, i have shown myself - by refusing so much junk food from the health centre cafe (ironic isn't it!!??) colleagues, friends and patient gifts - exactly where i am eating all the wrong foods.

-i am already prepared to go on to the LipoTrim maintenance program in due course with a desire for healthy (non-fried) protein intake with my 5-a-day, along with rejection of sugary carbs, stodgy breads, crisps, pastries, etc, that tire me out and make me fat!

-the ketosis does make me have a 'shorter fuse' as a bloke, also because i'm not getting the comfort from my comfort-foods too. But that's all part of the retraining process after bad habits of 10years. I'd rather be a bit kranky for a few weeks whilst keeping positive about my weight-loss, than lead myself into type ii diabetes, obesity, hypercholesterolaemia and cardiac disease in the decade to come !!!

-the £48/week cost sounds steep, but is much cheaper than the junk i used to buy in addition to my own grocery costs day by day.

I Hope my experience helps any other chap thinking of lipotrim!

ps: i do have a couple of cups of coffee per day with a bit of skimmed milk in. this appears to have made NO difference to the usual weight loss of lipotrim clients which is happening for me too. The sachets of milkshake are made from skimmed milk powder in part anyway, and I personally think that a splash more of skimmed milk in some coffee won't upset the apple cart too much. (but that's mainly because i can't stand black coffee!!!) However, that's only my opinion, not that of Lipotrim.

nice of you to take the time to post this.
nice to have a mans point of view.
sure it will help the males here x

Great post :) And am glad that you are doing well as you're right, there arent many men on here, although there are a few :)

I am a stick to the rules girl so will give you one of these; :whoopass: for adding milk to your coffee, how do you know its not upsetting the apple cart if you havnt had a weigh when you havnt had a coffee with milk?

I really think you should stick to the rules to the letter.
Are you sure you cant just drink black coffee with sweetners?

I too used to hate it but now i have a tablespoon of coffee (in a litre flask) and 4 sweetners - does the trick and is yummy :) xxx

Im male lol

Really adam?!!!!! :giggle:

Me too. I always feel a bit jealous of the girls having three shakes a day, but I'm learning to cope on two. Three times a week I have two flap jacks instead of my evening shake and that makes me feel fuller (if only because it takes half a litre of water to get each bar down ;-) )

Another guy here (nearing the end of week one refeed)....I must be the exception when it came to the formulas as my pharmacy gave me 3 x female formula sachets based on the fact I class my lifestyle as sedentary and that they said they had more people preferring the option to 'fuel' three times a day rather than two.

hi its nice to see another man on the full progrmme. After 20 years of food and alcohol abuse i`ve reached the great weight of 24 stone.(BMI 46.1). Unable to lie down, walk around and having to buy larger clothes.I was looking terrible. I`ve been on this programme for 10 days now and feeling apprehensive over the weight lose of 1.5 stone in the first week, is this normal or am I going abit fast?. Its only a week but all the little problems you have and keep away from others are starting to disappear. I feel alot better in myself already and able to do things I could not do before. ie. reaching the places i could not reach for personal hygene. So any men who would like to give us any advise will be appreciated thanx.

No it's not too fast, and anyway it will even out over time. You've taken the hardest step so just keep it up and don't be tempted to cheat or push the rules and you'll be fine. Lipotrim has changed my life and it can do the same for you. All the best, and if you need anything advice wise just ask.

Jon

It's really nice to see you guys on here! I was starting to think that all us women had intimidated you all off here! Keep up the ace work you lot xxx

Hi all,
I've just bought my first weeks supply of Lipotrim and will be kicking off on Monday morning. Feeling excited but a bit nervous too...

So, what do I have for my 'last meal'? :D

Cheers...

Hiya I am new here and just thought I'd introduce myself slightly.

After years of junk food, takeaways, being really lazy on the pc, and starting to get health problems because of my weight. I decided it was definitely time to do something about it, at 28st I could barely even walk up and down the road.

I am now on day 7 of Lipotrim and I have already lost just over a stone (yeah I thought it sounded too good to be true as well but I kid you not.) I am hoping to continue losing the same amount but I understand the first week is always the most weight loss which slightly disapoints me. I feel better already but not exactly sure where abouts the weight loss has happened on my body, I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to see a difference in appearance.

Finding this forum recently has really given me some encouragement, and I hope everyone else sticks to their lipotrim diet because it's definitely works well.

Hiya there! another guy here last time I checked :). Thanks for taking the time to start this thread and its nice to know that there are so many other guys out there hehe!

Hi I am starting tomorrow. Also another guy here. Just wanted to ask, what times do you feel are best to eat the packets? I work 12.30-9 so I'm thinking one at around 11am and another at lunch which is 5pm. This sound good? Anyway, thanks for the inspiration.

I'm imagining this thread to have all the men at one side of the room talking football and the women at the other talking shopping. We can all meet up for the slowies !

nice post, thanks...

It's sort of upto you and how it makes you feel, but the first week is extremely hard on this diet so maybe you should split them up a little, for example have half a packet at 11, another half at 3 - then half 5 then 8 or something. You might feel a little better if you do that.

Hi
Did anyone exercise in first week i play alot of football, and just wondered if i have give it up for whole week or it be ok to play still.
