Braving a public swimming pool today

Wibble...

Going to the Metrodome today with a friends kids (well, teenagers actually).

This will be my first time in a swimming costume in public for a LONG time. I'm more than a little frightened... But, not so frightened I'm not going to go and act like a kid on all the water slides! LOL

I'll be ok once I'm in, it's just the walking about in just a cozzie that's that problem. Last year I swam loads in my friends pool but that's totally different to going public...

All I can say is WOW!!

Had an amazing time, went on all the slides several times (not sure a 32 year old woman elbowing kids out of the way whilst sprinting up the stairs is a good look, but never mind!) and even did some lengths in the grown up section too.

SwimmingCostumeHell wasn't as bad as expected either! I actually didn't look as horendous as I thought I would and although I still look far from attractive, I can actually see that I've made a lot of progress in just under 5 weeks!

Definately going to the Metrodome again next week and think I shall take up evening swimming closer to home a few nights a week too!!!

That was brave when you were scared of it Cleo - well done you, and I'm so glad you had such a good time.

I swim with my children all the time and have never felt self-conscious, although I realise I have had a lot of wobbly flesh on display.

I got a fab swimsuit from bravissimo which has a proper underwired bra hidden in it, and firm tummy support (used to take some wiggling to get into), so I was always well-supported even when obese, LOL!

My boobs are too SMALL for Bravissimo!! If they were as fat as the rest of me I'd be much happier, but sadly Bravissimo don't do C cups
