Smile Is this just wishful thinking on my part?

As I was shivering getting my children from school this afternoon, I wondered do we burn more calories when it's cold? I always thought we did but is it just an old wives tale? - so,

    1. Are we likely to have better losses in this really cold weather?

    2. Is this diet sending me bonkers?

    Answers on a postcard please?

You do burn cals/energy when you are cold as you body trys to restore its temperature....the same logic when drinking ice cold water you burn cals as your body gets the water to body temp...hope this answers your question x
