    New... And feeling emotional!

    Hi all,
I hope this chilly Thursday is treating you all well! I started LT on Mon- this is the 3rd time for me :-( The first time I lost 4 stone in 8 weeks but, as with many others, didn't change my life enough afterwards. My 2nd try was half-hearted and I wasn't in the right mindset at all!
So, I'm 32, 20 stone (gulp!) and now diabetic (a combination of weight and long term steroid use for arthritis). So, for me, this feels like I'm fighting for my life. I've got an incredible husband who loves and supports me but with my blood sugar like it is, there's no way we can try for children. I just want to succeed! I'm so, so tired of failing to lose weight. Trying and failing is just so crushing, isn't it? I feel really emotional tonight...the thought of losing 8 stone is daunting beyond belief. Any support or chats will be appreciated- it's just good to feel like you're not alone.
I'm feeling hungry and weak tonight... I know this works... I'm just struggling.

Good luck to everyone else trying to change their lives!

    Luce x

    Hey luce,
This is my third day and finding it tough also. But if we both are strong we ll get there :-D. We re both in kind of similar situation s... nearly same age and weight. I just had a baby, well hes 1 at end of month and had gestational diabetes when pregnant, was tough, so im trying to lose weight to get pregnant again but without the complications.....and also cause im seriously fed up with being overweight.
Hope we can do this journey together jeanette x

    Hi Jeanette,
Congratulations! How lovely that you've had a lovely boy! Yes, we can support each other here- even with amazing friends/husbands/family, nobody REALLY understands unless they're blitzing LT shakes three times a day!
    Xx

    Hi Hun,
Today has been slightly better than yesterday. Yesterday I felt like crawling into a pit and never coming out. Try not to get down about the pork chop- at least it was protein. Onwards and upwards tomorrow- just keep thinking about your goals. I just want to get the first weigh in out of the way to give me some motivation! Come on Hun- we can do it!

First weigh in is Monday. Trying not to get my hopes up too much but a decent first loss would be wonderful. I've been 100% faithful to it so I can't NOT have lost.... I hope?!

    Hey Luce
I'm starting in the morning and really think these chats can encourage us all. I have 7st to lose and it sounds like a massive mountain to climb. I have decided to think about those 7 stones in 1 stone goals. I think it will be much easier to focus on 1 stone at a time. I would love to be comfortable in my body and get out more instead of hiding away. One day I will go shopping for clothes and enjoy trying them on instead of shopping on the Internet for cover ups! We can do this ...... One day at a time ?
    Week 1 -11.5lb
    Week 2 -3.5lb
    Week 3 -3lb (15's)
    Week 4 -4.75lb
    Week 5 - No WI
    Week 6 -3lb
    Week 7 -4.25lb (14's)
    Week 8 -3.75lb
Week 9 +7lb Totally off plan all week!
Week 10 -8.5lb Back on track

    Week 11 -4.5lb
    Week 12 -3lb 3stone!!!
    Week 13 -2.75lb (13's)
Weeks 14&15 (lets not talk about it)
    Week 16 -3lb
    Week 17 -2lb
    Week 18 +7lb
    Week 19 -8.75lb
    Week 20 -4lb
(4st down and into the 12's!)
    Week 21 -3lb
    Week 22 -.75lb

    Total = 62lb
