    Angry Size does matter

Is it just me - or does anyone else have this problem? When we are dieting we can become a little obsessed by numbers, by that I mean size. I have found that my clothes are getting too big and on a couple of occasions have gone out to buy something new. Trying on a smaller size in the first shop and it fitted. Went to another shop tried on the same size and it wouldn't go anywhere near. I find my size can vary between three different sizes depending on which shop! This makes it impossible to shop by mail order as I never know what to buy. Why is it that most other things we buy have to conform to some sort of standard like weight or size. Why not clothes?

Come on you retailers - SORT IT OUT!!!

    Size does matter!!!

(Sorry about the rant guys! )

I totally agree Daisy!! I have always had this problem....i can go into some shops and feel depressed at the sizes going nowhere near! I tried my mums size 14 next jeans on today and they fit!!!! Yet my size 16 jeans have only just started to fit (i will proudly say look great now). I couldn't tell you what size i am to be honest! Bizarre and annoying daisy so yeah.....retailers sort it out!! Or we all need to go straight to next! You go girl xxx

Yep your right and the reason for this is, clothing manufacturers send all their work out to the far east like most items sold in this country. We as a country thrived on our textile and tailoring industry, now we are lucky to see a rag and bone horse RIP sorry for ranting!

The problem i used to have is because I have short legs and I had a 46ish waist they all assumed that I was 8ft two so really struggled to get pants. Now I am a 36 inch waist it has not improved as everyone assumes I have a 32" inside leg. For gods sake not everyone has long legs and I can not remember the last time I saw an 8ft fat person. I am thinking of going to New York to do a bit of shopping they at least cater for every size.

Tracy I know what you mean about River Island as well I bought a shirt for a wedding I am going to tomorrow and had to get an XXL in a lot of other shops I am a L or an XL max.......lets bring the rag trade back to the UK and sort out all the sizes
