Need some advice ...

I go away a week today and although I said I was going to take my shakes with me (which I still am) I'm going to find it near impossible some days to have any shakes at all with some of the things we have planned. So, being sensible, although I did want to lose a little more before next week, I thought if I start a refeed, it'll hopefully prevent me coming back and having a break down at the amount of weight I'll have put on, and then start back 100% the day I come home.

However ...

I weighed myself yesterday morning, then had two shakes as normal and then had 150g of white fish and a small breakfast bowl of lettuce and onion to go with it (might I add felt like heaven after 5 weeks 100%) and felt more than full. I've weighed myself this morning and I've gained 1/2 a pound. I know it doesn't sound much but I'm very conscious that by the end of the week that 1/2 a pound will have turned into 3 and I refuse to put the weight back on, especially not that easy.

I've decided to go back to 100% for the next 3 days to see what happens, and then try again. Only thing I can think is that I'm reintroducing too much too quick (I did think the refeed programme was quite substantial within the time-frame considering you go from nothing to almost everything within 4-7 days). Perhaps going to try just adding 100g protein with two shakes and leave the salad out for a couple of days and then reintroduce salad and try to do it as slowly as possible.

What are your thoughts guys? Is this normal and it'll plateau or I'll lose? I'm just terrified of putting anything back on after all the hard work, especially when I'll be going back on it, I don't want to have to do another week to lose those pounds when I don't have to! Another thing, I know it's normally an excuse to people, but would this link with an underactive thyroid? I just can't help but think I shouldn't be putting on this easily :(

I don't think it's worth doing Lipotrim 100%, go straight into re-introducing food under uncontrolled circumstances, going back to 100% Lipotrim for three days, going on holiday and eating whatever and then coming back and doing Lipotrim 100%. Speak to the pharmacist - in advance - and get them to help with a re-feed programme, watch what you eat on holiday and then go back to Lipotrim. The worst thing anyone can do is to keep weighing themselves because they get deflated when even a small amount of weight is put on. You know you don't like the feeling of putting on even half a pound, so that should give you incentive to not eat a lot when you go away. This time next year, when your weight is off, you've kept it off and you go away, think about eating what you like then (though in moderation).

Well I spoke to the pharmacist and she wasn't very helpful, at all really :/ in fact, she told me to enjoy my holiday and spoil myself which is not what I wanted to hear!

Decided to do the refeed, but as much as I'd been craving all kinds of food, all I've eaten is smoked salmon and rocket, haven't even got as far as introducing fruit or carbs or anything, I'm more than happy to have that than a big fat burger or anything so may aswel keep at it! I just stick to my two shakes a day and smoked salmon and rocket for tea. I was naughty and had a bowl of Special K however a couple of days ago (TOTM took over) so back on it 100% today to try and get rid of the bloated feeling before I go away tomorrow. Managed to lose 2lbs still in this week so I will be more than happy if I maintain whilst away!

Hmm, I know what you mean - some pharmacists don't seem too helpful.

You sound like you're doing really well and, if you keep up with the way you're giong, you should be at your ideal weight in no time (and your 'Special K' won't feel so naughty).
