    Best times to have shakes

I 'm just wondering what people find is the best times to have thier shakes. I'm a stay at home mum of 3 what would be my best times to have them so i'm not gettin the hunger thing? I'm always up no later than 7am go to bed at 11pm. Today i'v only had a coffee/vanilla shake so i'v got half of the vanilla left and 2 other shakes to have today. How can i space them out thru the day?

hi and welcome lucy, try 4hr intervals 12,4,8pm or 11,3,7pm. or if it helps try splitting the servings, have half sachets for the 1st few days to fight any hunger pangs. make sure you have LOTS of water between and good luck getting into ketosis

I work 2-10pm so have my first shake at 12:20pm, second at 5:20 and last at 10:20 - works fine for me but getting up a lot earlier than I do I'd say you'll need yours a lot earlier. I'm with scousemouse, split the sachets and go for a bit of trial and error. You'll soon find a routine that suits you

I try to have my first as early as poss, usually between 8 and 10am (I'm not an early riser!) then have the other 2 when I feel hungry. I was a bit late with my first this morning (workman in the house) so I'm waiting till they go to have my next one, am feeling peckish at the mo. The last one depends on what's on at home but I often don't feel hungry so have to force myself to have it before bed!

I do try to stick to "meal" times coz I want to get into a good eating habit afterwards - no eating after 6pm for a start!

See how it goes and you'll soon fall into a routine that suits you and your lifestyle.

    Good luck hun.

You'll soon find a routine that suits you. I gen. tend to have 1st one at 8 or 9am, then 1pm-ish, then 6 to 7pm.
Don't try to drink allthe water in one go -not good, and not practical. It might help to have a glass (500ml or half litre) before your first shake, then another two glasses through the day, then last glass in the evening after last shake. You don't need to gulp down the glass of water either. I tend to drink at a leisurely pace and always have a 500ml bottle of water with me. Put it on your desk at work, take it to meetings, have it in the car or on the bus/ train. Also, find ways to vary your water (sounds bonkers but it can work!). Drink it from a tall glass with ice using a straw, drink it warm in a mug, drink it from a bottle, drink carbonated water.....! By the time you do all this and have a cup of tea or coffee here and there, you'll be drinking at least the minimum requirement of 2 litres per day.

By the way, it does get easier. By week 2 to 3 your body will be craving water and asking for more! I like to think of the water as a sort of detox, flushing out all the goo and cleansing my system...

Goodness, I sound like a salesman here !

does anyone know if it makes a difference to your weight loss if you leave your shakes till later on, (like the "never eat after 8 o'clock rule"...?) I always have my first one at dinner, cos I'm never hungry in the morning, then one at tea (18:00) and then finish off with a minty hot chocolate when Ive put the baby to bed and watching big brother, do you think this makes any difference?
