Hi all, I start my journey tomorrow and I'm actually excited about it!

So pleased I have found this forum to chat to others in the same boat, I'm gonna need major support over the coming months to do this, especially as I don't even like milkshakes!

Have had my last 'proper meal' tonight and would you believe it, my tooth broke while I was eating, so now I can't eat, even if I wanted to. Guess I'll be spending Monday at the emergency dentist, at least I wont be thinking about food!

Good luck to all you future skinny people, I'm sure, like me you can't wait to buy your first pair of skinny jeans (I'm so excited!)

Lucy

Does anyone know how long it takes to go into ketosis? I'm only on my first day but I'm dreaming about burgers!

Have seen loads of good suggestions for getting a bit of variety from the shakes, including adding the made up vanilla shake to hot coffee, to make a latte. And brewing peppermint tea then letting it go cold and using it in place of water to make up the chocolate shakes, either as a mint chocolate mousse, or drink.

After hearing horror stories about the flapjacks, they actually aren't too bad and I'm giving the soup a go tonight, wish me luck!

If you live alone like me, I've a top tip already. I've thrown away every single food item in the house, even ketchup and flour etc. I figured I wont be eating again for several months anyway, the food'll probably go off and I'll hopefully have changed my eating habits and want to buy different food. I find if there's absolutely nothing for me to cheat with, I'm more likely to stick to the diet as I would have to go out and buy something to eat, which would give me time to consider if I really wanna do it.

Obviously if you live with parteners, you can't do this but it's a good idea if you're on your own

good luck adele! I'm on day 3 now and I've not been hungry at all today, also my scales reckon I've lost 5 pounds, not sure how accurate they are but it's keeping me motivated!

like everyone says, the key is to drink water ALL the time especially when you have a hunger pang, which only seem to last for 10 minutes or so.

To stay motivated, have a look at clothes shops online and daydream about the clothes you're gonna buy when you're at your target weight, this stops a hunger pang in it's tracks!
