Hi there. I have done really well on losing a lot of weight but now need to find out what I can eat and keep my weight stable. I lost 4 lbs this week. I am going to up my meat/fish portions a little bit this week and have a little bits of carbs as I hadn't introduced those. I hope I can keep my weight stable this week. Any advice?

Hi. Can't advise you as I haven't started yet, but want to know how you're still progressing? Still losing weight? Any exercise? Would love to know. Thanks

Hiya! It's very difficult to advise somebody when we're all so different and there are soooo many different ways to maintain. My best suggestion would be for you to read around all the maintenance forums and try whatever takes your fancy. Some people maintain successfully & happily on a low GI/GL regime, others count calories or follow a weightwatchers or slimming world based plan.
We all have to find our own way, it's a matter of trial and error, there's no 'one size fits all' unfortunately.

I have to say though, you say you haven't introduced carbs yet ...? In that case it sounds like you haven't followed the refeeding plan ... you really must do this and do it to the letter as it's scientifically formulated to ensure you don't pile on weight. It introduces you to carbs in the right forms and amounts in the right order. This plan also gives you a good basis to build on for maintaining your weight.

Well done on losing all the weight, don't spoil it now by not refeeding properly.

Best of luck!

I don't think the chemist people know much about refeeding to be honest. I reintroduced a little carbs 2 week's ago. I am having a few new potatoes with my meals. I am trying to do 2 meals a day at the moment and 1 maintenance product, having done 1 meal a day and 2 maintenance products for a few weeks. Just trying to eat healthily e.g meat or fish with veg and potatoes for main meal. I love the chocolate mousse maintenance foods and the bars are very convenient. I stayed stable last week.

The full refeeding plan is on the Lipotrim website but is also posted on here in full detail. I'm sure you'll find it if you look on the refeeding section or do a search on it. If not I'll find it and post a link for you. I really feel it's important and is an excellent reeducator. X

I did have a look on here for info:

I think I am doing reasonably well in terms of eating a variety of meat/fish, veg and potatoes. Tinned fish can be very handy. I had a small tub of low fat natural yoghurt with berries for breakfast the other day. I like porridge - which should hopefully be a good choice too. I also like the chocolate mousse and it means I am getting some milk in my diet when I have it, as I don't use milk much.

Update:

I got given a really useful leaflet by the chemist just over a week ago. A shame they didn't have it when I decided to go onto maintenance over christmas!
