Hi all, I would really appreciate your thoughts on what I'm planning....
I had a baby 7 weeks ago and have put on a lot of weight over the last two years - I need to loose 5 stone. I've done the TFR before (6 years ago& briefly last year) but I just am not in the right head space to start this again...
So here's what I'm thinking - break myself in by starting the maintenance program... 2 shakes and a healthy meal seems so much more enticing .... Then if I feel ready start the TFR if I can.

I'd really love to hear of people who have managed to loose weight while doing the maintenance program - need inspiration ?

Thanks in advance

I was talking to my pharmacy about the maintenance program and it does sound really good and you do still lose weight but just a bit slower, I think it's a really good idea especially as your baby's so young you don't want to be to tired as you need all the energy you can get after having a baby. I put on lots of weight with my baby too and only just lost it/losing it after 15 months. Try the maintance and see how you get on x

Thanks Emmy_lu - I think you're right re the energy I'll need etc. happy to loose the weight a little slower but I need to have an impact straightaway to keep me motivated - lol I'm like a child needing instant gratification!!!

You will still have a good week 1 I rekin as you won't be eating much, I'm assuming it will be chicken salad or something like that x

Yes I will be keeping it light and healthy plenty of protein and veg etc

Staying well away from the junk food and too many carbs ?

I think its a really good idea and a great way to ease yourself in help you get into the right mindset, then whenever you're ready to start lipotrim full time you'll be in ketosis fairly quickly. Congrats on your baby and good luck when you start :)

Thanks louthlady we are delighted with the new arrival! Yes it's all about mindset with TFR - it really I has amazing results!

Can I ask how long you both have been on maintenance and how you've found it so far - for results but also any tips to keep motivated etc

I'm on TFR still I did 11 weeks had a 2 week break then came back on it a week ago. I was going to do maintenance but going away on my first proper holiday with the kids in June and needed quick results xx

I'm not on maintainence either! Still doing tfr 100% until i refeed monday then going to do ww or maintenance until the end of the summer and finish what i've started.

If i was starting again i'd definitely take measurementsto keep me motivated if the scales weren't great on a particular week. When are you planning on starting

Ah I see! Well done ladies on doing TFR - great willpower ?

I actually started today! Thought I may as well get going ! So far 2 shakes and a nice dinner (low calorie) and some fresh fruit (didn't want it to go to waste!)

Good idea on starting maintenance first to get your head into the right place. TFR + baby would be quite an immediate shock I'd imagine if you're not feeling too confident about it.

Just a note though - and I may be wildly wrong as I haven't done maintenance - but I'm not 100% sure fruit is all that good for you on the programme.

Thanks James I think you're right about the fruit - the natural sugar etc. I just had some lovely fresh fruit and it would have been such a shame to get rid of it ?. Sticking with proteins and veg going forward!
You seem to doing great on LT - well done - its great to see people succeed!

Yeh don't quote me on the fruit but I'm pretty sure it'd be better in future not to have any (I know it's weird as when I was younger I just thought eating fruit must be healthy, weird). It won't hurt too much to have a little though as you won't be in ketosis or anything on maintenance.

Thanks! LT isn't as hard as some people make it out to be. The hard part is conquering your mind.
