Dogs for company

My husband went on a walk alone as I was not up to it - this is true story! As he got out of the car a farm dog came and sat next to him as he adjusted his walking boots. Mark then set off on his walk with the said dog following him. After about 2 miles he tried to shoo it away thinking it would get lost. After 5 miles, said dog still followed, stopping when Mark did, sitting when Mark did, admiring the view when he did. At lunch time, Mark offered dog a bit of biscuit but doggie declined but seemed to be enjoying the view. 8 miles later just as Mark was approaching the car, the lovely doggie gave a little bark, shook his head and headed away from him back to the farm building. Isn't that the lovelies thing to have happened to him.

His very own tour guide!!!

Thats so lovely..... I'd be lost without my two babies..... they go most places with us!!! Would take em to work if i could!!!!

We have 'Petting' dogs in mental health as it is very therapeutic to patients, don't you just love dogs. Miss my own Excalibur still (had to leave him in Africa when finished work there).

Awww thats sad!!! I want more.... Maybe when we get a bigger house!!! x

We have always had dogs and I love them to bits and miss my Speedo and Casper. The latest member of our family is a dog from a local rehoming centre. He is a real challenge with a number of issues steming from a poor puppyhood. We love him to bits and have some fantastic walks with him. I joined a gym to try and get fit but you can't beat a long walk with your doggie companion and both of us benefit from it.

Did you see on the news tonight (or maybe it was just the Welsh News) a dalmation had 15 puppies, they were so cute. Husband is encouraging me to have another dog - we fancy a Welsh Terrier - they are so lovely. Excalibur was a German Shepherd and a bit psychotic!

I didn't see the news but have you seen the video clip of the talking dog. Some one has done a voice over to some video of this really cute dog and it appears as if he is talking. It is so cute and so funny. It was on BBC breakkie this morning.
Vale (our doggie) is lovely with us but doesn't like most other dogs, chases anything faster than him and doesn't like some men. We think he was cruelly treated as a puppy and when we got him at 10 months old we were his third home.
Once you have had a dog it is an empty house without one. A new dog might help to fill the gap left by your other boy.
