Arrgh!

I have just come in from Tesco's after buying nice things for no 2 daughter's birthday dinner tonight.

As a pre-emptive strike I decided to reward myself in advance with some reduced flowers as a reminder for the next few days how well I have done being in day 5 and so far 100%.

I spent 15 minutes stripping down Tesco rotisserie chicken and bagging them up into child-size portions while daughter no 1 who is also on LT stayed well away. Daughter no 3 then dutifully went and put them in the chest freezer (nothing looks as appetizing when it is frozen in a sandwich bag!)

Even the bones looked tempting, and before I had really thought it through I sprayed them with Flash so I couldn't give them a crafty nibble!

I went to my Lipotrim bag, Arrrgh, no chicken soup left. But the kettle was already boiled.

Ok, I will have a hot chocolate, and then put some coffee and sweetner in the blender to clean it out and not waste any. Took the blender bowl off and rinsed it under the tap, and left for no 1 daughter to use herself shortly, but I didn't switch off and unplug the blender.

So I just logged on here to strengthen my resolve, when I hear the blender whirring and making a funny noise. No 1 daughter was right next to me, so I check no 3 daughter wasn't in the kitchen.

The blender base that rotates the blades was spinning like mad even though the blender bowl was off. I just managed to switch it off, as a nasty acrid smell and the tiniest whisper of smoke came out......the safety switch has obviously failed and the motor was just in the process of burning itself out.

So , now I need to trapse off back to Tesco and pray they have a cheap blender otherwise no 1 daughter and I will both be going nuts especially given the nice birthday things that are here tonight......

Lesson learned, we could have had a house fire tonight and lost everything, thankfully its just the blender!

Wish us luck to stay 100% til bedtime!

Ha ha at spraying the bones with flash!!! I just got tempted by garlic bread so got my son who is nearly a teen and permanently grubby to finger all the left over bits!! I'm not so tempted now!!

I do find just shaking the shakes and soups fine though. I've never really had any lumps or anything and find the texture more than nice x

must be something in the water here.

everything goes clumpy!

Maybe it's cause we're in a hard water area! Haha xxx
