Any shake ideas out there?

Hello fellow LTers :p

Day 2 and I'm already looking for things to do with my LT shakes to spice things up a bit! I was wondering if anyone has come up with some ways of preparing them to make them a bit more yummy or substantial feeling?

I'm going to get some ice so I can blend them up that way and make them into a thicker (and hopefully more refreshing) shake and I might try adding a bit of coffee to the chocolate shake too but other than that I'm lost for ideas. It'd be great if you could add vanilla or nutmeg or something to them but I've heard adding anything is a big no no.

Another member suggested this to me yesterday, and it is lovely! Vanilla shake, blended with ice and teaspoon coffee! Frappe! If you get any other ideas, i would be keen to hear them ;)
 
Hi All, Yes I tried the coffee idea, it was a nice change its difficult to stay excited about the same 3 flavours all the time, I tried a few drops of food flavouring to pep them up a bit, orange in the chocolate shake was nice
 
Tried the orange in chocolate - made a nice change, thanks for that! Shame they still leave a 'film' in the mouth after drinking (for me they do anyway). Tried drinking hot water after shake today, but cant decide if it helped or not . . . :)
 
weighed in today another 5 and a half pounds gone, thats just over 2 stone now,starting week 6 today, feeling a little less enthusiastic though, need something to spur me on!
 
I was looking at some photos before of friends in Alton Towers. I don't go to Alton Towers any more because I'm too scared I wont fit on the rides :(. I don't go swimming . . . I can't go horse riding, even though I used to love it. I live a happy, filled life, but secretly avoid doing lots of things because of my weight. This is the first time in a long time that I can actually imagine myself losing all this weight and doing the things I love to do.

I hope these kind of thoughts will get me through the tough times xx

That is a great weight loss Deborahb, well done you! Can you remember what led you to this extreme diet? Have you tried any others?
 
Much the same as you, being held back from doing things that I love, plus we have a family wedding later this year, and I cant have the other halfs ex wife looking better than me can I :) I thought about what you said and I feel better today, so thank you failed at diets,have you got a name your avatar is soo long lol, you cheered me up x
 
Good! Glad you are sticking with it, and defo cant have ex wives looking better :eek:

I'm feeling v motivated today, 12lb loss in 1st WI! I know most is water etc, but its enough to keep me going for a bit longer :D

HI Stella, I haven't been on here for a few days had a busy and annoying kind of week, aggro at work, things breaking down, you know too much to do and not enough time to do it, still, haven't reached for the biscuit tin lol, still on track, my 6 week weigh in tomorrow so i'll let you know how I get on, hope your ok, 12lb in the first week is terrific , Go Girl!!!

i had another good loss this week, so am pleased too! It's a shame we can't bottle the feeling to remind us why we do it when it seems hard.

Hope things at work have settled down a bit for you, it's bad enough to carry on with the shakes without everything else getting to you too.

I feel more in control of everything just now, usually I just let things happen around me and accept it, but with the control of my food had a knock on effect (to a point of course :-/). Another week ahead . . . I'm up for it!
 
Still plodding on with it week 7, cant believe I have stuck with it this long, I think the only thing keeping me at it is that you dont have to think about food at all whereas with other diets all you do think about is food, well done Stella fantastic loss. only 3 lbs for a 1 and a half stone loss amazing or what!
 
Hi there, have been v busy and not on here properly for a bit!

Well done, that's great!

I went to carfest last weekend, so didnt follow the tfr for three days, but back on it now. Only day 3 , so feeling bit worn out, but I know it will get better
