Plus my grand niece was 5 today so they had a little party for her, and my sister decided to send over the leftover cake to me knowing I am on this diet! The kids each had a slice and then I put the rest in the bin! Believe it or not that is a big step for me because I would of been telling myself sure its a birthday I can have one slice and twenty minutes later I would of consumed one whole cake not a bother to me! Can I ask does anyone on this diet suffer with constipation or piles? I have used a spoon of the fibre clear a day but I haven't been to the toilet since Monday! And I have piles I am so admiring of ye all, at this point I can't imagine putting down another week and the think you have gotten this far and feel okay is so inspiring!
Well done for throwing the rest of the cake away, I can't work out why family especially, feel the need to put temptation in your way. I've had my share of that and just keep on track. Almost came to blows with my sister at christmas who thought that I should eat (was empowering telling her to sod off because it was my choice not hers - excuse the french) I too would have started with a slice and would have finished the cake, so know the feeling. If I can do it, so can you! I do struggle with constipation and have to resort to dulcolax when I'm really uncomfortable. Keep going luv and keep drinking water. It helps with the constipation.

You are doing so well Kay! Your posts are keeping me going I really mean that! I think its just sisters, my sister is obsessed with weight and there is not a pick of her in it yet she know's im dieting and will continue to send over leftover food to me, so it's not tempting her but okay to tempt me the one who obviously has an issue with food like seriously!

Thanks Lyndey. Maybe take pleasure in throwing away anything she sends your way! Staying focussed on the reason/s you started LT will keep you going through it. The rewards for staying on LT are worth more than eating. Take strength from staying on the wagon and let us know how you're getting on. The support on here is great, and we all nudge each other along x x x

Why are other people so obsessed with what other people put in their mouths?!

I've been veggie for 30 years and I had a lot of, "try this ham, try this beef" etc for the first few years. People got so upset I was no longer eating meat - ridiculous!

I also didn't drink for 20 years - Every bloody Christmas my mother would bring over booze and try to insist I tried a bit. Just a bit, a bit won't hurt you. She sometimes seemed to get quite irritated I'd not even try it and I didn't feel I was missing out at all.

Dieting and doing LT has been more positive weirdly. The only person who says I am thin enough is my mother

Funny thing is I don't like peanuts either but not one single person has EVER had an issue with this...

Very strange world we live in
Seesh - if there's anyone out there worse at maintenance than me I'd like to meet them!

i am irish so believe you me i feel your pain regarding the drink thing! Being Irish we give out that the entire world sees us as alcoholics, but everything from a christening to a funeral resolves around drink! My partner is cannot comprehend that I cannot drink on this diet, the not eating seems for him to be easier to grasp. Family girls you can't live with them you can't kill them! Lol only messing though, she sent over another cake today, now this one went for a five mile run this morning and she sends over a cake to me, so I threw it in the bin and squirted wash up liquid over it for good nature, she arrived in there a minute ago for a cup of tea and asked did i have any biscuits I said no, and she sent my son over to bring over a few bars, I was like I am not eating chocolate, and she was like ah sure one bar won't kill you, she is lucky I didn't eat her

Blimey, she's not making herself popular!!! Well done you - what a great idea squirting it with washing up liquid! You should have shown her what you did to it and tell her there's no point in sending anything else over, it will end up in the same condition in the bin. It's probably going to take her awhile to adjust to what you're doing. That's her problem, not yours. You keep doing what you're doing x x x
