James' Diary

Hello,

I was pointed towards this forum by my pharmacy consultant so I thought that I’d have a look around to find the answers to my Lipotrim questions. Whilst I’m here I thought it would be a good idea to use the diary section to chart my progress on my Lipotrim journey.

So about me? I’m a 21 year old male working a 12 hour job and have gone from really into shape to really out of shape in the space of a couple of years. I was at my “prime” in college where eating no amount of junk food would affect me due to playing sports etc. all the time. Since I left and got my job I noticed I could afford to eat takeaways or go to restaurants all the time so it just began to pile on me. I think I’ve gained about 40-50lbs in about 2 years and am now really unhappy with my body. I’ve now grown a fear of people seeing me undress and it’s really holding me back going on holiday or starting relationships etc.

I’ve stopped almost all exercise these days as I’m completely wiped out from work every day and have become extremely lazy in all aspects of my life. I currently weigh around 15st 8lbs but because of my 6’ 5” frame people keep telling me “You’re not fat, you don’t need to diet” but this isn’t helpful. I know I am I’m just too lazy to do anything about it - or was anyway. I’d start these healthy eating/fitness diets and about 2 weeks in I’d lost maybe 2lbs with no noticeable physical change and would just give up and go get a Chinese to cheer myself up.

I am an all or nothing type of person so Lipotrim works perfectly for me. Instead of me wandering round supermarkets thinking “is this healthy? ... can I eat this?” I can now simply say “No, James. You can’t have anything.” It’s a tough transition but fits my personality quite well. It’s simple and easy to follow.

I started on Lipotrim on 03/04/13 and by my Saturday weigh in (06/04/13) I’d lost 8lbs. I was delighted, I wanted to quit many times on the first few days seen as I was off work and it was easy to eat but I stuck to it. I’ve stopped weighing myself at home as it puts pressure on me so I hope I’ve continued my progress for my next weigh in.

I began weighing 218lbs and my initial target - which may change if/when I reach it - is 180lbs. I have a few holidays coming up starting late July and I’d love to be in shape for them so I can enjoy myself more. I had a torrid time in Magaluf last Summer with my self-confidence and I’d really like to beat it. I know that if I follow this diet strictly I’m 100% guaranteed to lose the weight I need by my target date. Keeping it off will be the hurdle I’ll have to jump when I get to it.

I don’t think I can post pictures yet to show you my current body and what it used to be but I will do as soon as I reach my post count. I hope this community is as supportive to me as everyone else and can answer any queries I might have.

As a final note, is it normal of me to be absolutely obsessed with food programmes now? I can’t go a day without watching about 5 episodes of Man vs Food. It’s heaven and Hell!

Hi James!

Welcome to the LT world! I'm only on day 3 but have done it about 5 years ago but didn't maintain the re-feed properly :-( so here I am again! I'm like you- an "all or nothing" girl- much easier to control!

Yesterday I sat watching a few episodes of man v food I think it's psychological - you'll get to a point where you'll want to smell people's food or cook it for them! I'm not there yet! But it will happen!
These forums are great to read there truly are some inspirational people on here and it seems so supportive. Well done in your loss so far xx

Hi Kathrobs.

Well I do actually take a lot of pleasure in being around people eating at the moment. I'm evening going to a friends birthday meal tonight and surprisingly looking forward to it! I hope I get the re-feed right first time around as I'd hate to yo-yo on this diet. My frame of mind at the moment is basically hammer this diet because the better I do it, the shorter I'm on it & the quicker I'm thin and happy. After that if I can keep it off I never have to come back to a TFR diet ever again.

The pictures people have been posting at the general consensus of how much weight everyone's last has been inspiring so far.

James...welcome to the fun house!

i have to say I would not have gotten past day 1 without this site!

Congrats on your loss so far long will it reign!

dunno how you can watch people eat....can just about cope knowing my OH is eating in the other room haha! I'm too scared to watch food programmes as I may commit murder as a result but I have picked up the habit of wanting to bake and cook for every single person I know, whether they want it or not....weird!

Right, successfully managed my friends birthday meal without being tempted to eat or stabbing anyone with a fork. They were really impressed by my will power to just sit there with water and I know it's all for the right reasons.

Absolutely hammered at work today and didn't even have time for my morning shake, oops! Not happy about missing one, stomach is sore now.

Get it down ya!

I bow down to you and your will power at sitting through a table full of people and not folding....how on earth did you restrain yourself from picking up a fork and eating or stabbing someone? Lol

i am beyond impressed :D

Well done James! That is impressive work! But you appear to be extremely focused and I'm pleased that you remained as such! It's not forever :)

It wasn't as bad as I thought but was a good experience really. It all looked delicious but it reminded me that one day I'll be able to come here when I'm thin & re-fed and enjoy the food without feeling bad about my weight.

I did get a few try to offer me their side veg but I wasn't particularly interested in that but more the seafood pasta they were chomping on haha.

Well done James with your weight loss so far, I am on day 4 and Ketosis must have kicked in because I feel great today. I too feel the same as you with hitting it hard as the quicker I lose the weight the sooner I can refeed and hopefully not put it back on. I don't think I could do this again. Good luck with the rest of the week. X

Mmm seafood pasta! I like that! I like anything to be fair! But you did very well :)

Had a horrible dream last night! It was made more horrible in the fact only a few weeks ago it'd have been the best dream ever.

Was eating two pizzas stacked on top of eachother and then like a 4ft rich chocolate fudge cake. Tastes so good!

Woke up generally thinking I'd just ruined my diet haha. Second weigh in tomorrow and going to get all chocolate shakes as these are weirdly my favourites (I hate chocolate milkshake) and will try a flapjack for something to chew.

Haha James I had a similar dream on Wednesday night! Felt relieved when I woke up!!! Xx

Well had another food dream last night, they're getting annoying! Just went to my second weigh in and after 10 days I've just reached the 1st stone marker so really happy! Got given 2 of the flapjacks to try so going to have them with my 2nd litre of water. Hope this week is as easy as last week.

Bought myself and exercise bike but I'm going to hold off on using that for a few weeks as I heard it slows down weightloss quite considerably which I don't want.

Oh my god that's amazing work! Well done James xx
