Hello Guys & Girls :) I hope everyone is well :D

I'm Sag, 27, Male and from Leicester. I've been signed up for a while and keep coming back like a bad smell :p

I had a very successful 4 week stint on LT in 2008 where I went from 105kg down to 92kg. I came back about 4 times after that to try again and failed each time after 4/5 days due to getting really tired and extremely HUNGRY!

Recently my weight shot up to 115kg (18st/252lbs) due to a number of reasons - and I decided it was time to make a change! I've been planning this LT journey since May 2013 and did everything necessary to make it a success. So far.....it's worked! I re-started LT last month, and it's been 4 weeks today.

I have the advantage of my brother being my Pharmacist, so help & advice is always on hand.....but he pushes me to the limit! I've only been weighed once since I started and that was on Day 10. My next weigh in is tomorrow, so I will see what the first month has bought.

Currently getting through my week on a Strawberry shake at 2pm and a Chocolate shake at 6pm. And a Vanilla with a spoon of Coffee twice a week to change it up a bit.
Water intake is averaging 16Ltrs a week, not including the 500ml in each shake.

Love being here and reading everyones success stories. Thanks for reading and all the best to everyone on their LT journeys!

Hello there, I'm new here, on day 3 now, I bet you can't wait to get weighed tomorrow. Let us all know how you get on!
Keep going and good luck.

Thank you Bev :) All the best reaching your target! Will be rooting for you!

Be sure to let you know how I get on tomorrow

Hi all! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend :)

So I got weighed yesterday and went down to 104.6kg. That's a total loss of 10.1kg in a month.
Bit short of the 2st I wanted to lose.

Was disappointed and came so close to going down to the burger van at half time when I went to the football after my weigh in. Spent the first half thinking about it and not focusing on the football at all! Anyway talked myself out of it and glad I did.

Clothes feel great and today, I got into a pair of jeans that haven't fit for the last 2 years!

Decided not to have another weigh in until week 8 now.....I shall report back then!

Thanks for reading :)

Hi Sag,
That's an amazing weight loss!! Which diet could you loose nearly 2 stones in a month!!!!
Hold your head up high and be proud of what you have achieved!! You did fantastic at the football! Temptation all around you! Amazing!
Keep going Sag, you will reach your goal in no time!
I'm on day 5 today! I've just cooked spagbol for the family tea for later! That was hard!!
But, I need to do this and stay focused, i want to feel comfortable in my clothes and feel good about myself. I feel like I'm back in control of my life, my eating had got out of control and I even feel like I'm smiling more now!!
I've just had my second shake of the day and I always feel great after that!
Keep us all updated,
Enjoy your smaller jeans!!!

Hi guys, back here for some inspiration and to catch up on everyone's progress :) Really impressed with the Before & After pics....you guys look stunning!

I'm half way through Wk10 at the moment. I got weighed at Wk8 and had dropped almost 16kg (2.5st) and feeling great!

Decided to go through to Wk16 (6th December) and then do another 12 Weeks in the New Year - Planning a trip to the Caribbean next summer and dying to get into my Speedo's  lol (I wouldn't put anyone through that trauma!!) :8855:

Hello again all :) Just having a lovely :p shake on my lunch and catching up on everyone's progress :) Reading your amazing stories is what is keeping me going!

I'm on Day 76 today and due for my 3 month weigh-in next Friday. I've had a couple of close calls recently, mostly on the weekends when going to the football and being surrounded by the smells of fresh hot food. Luckily I've been extremely good and not given in. Didn't think I could do it, but have stuck to it 100% since starting. Obvious bad points are a massive increase in smoking! :(

I've decided to come off on December 6th which will be exactly 4 months. I booked 2 weeks off work when I started to get in to the swing of things, and I have done the same again in December so I can have 2 weeks at home to re-feed correctly and not have the distractions of Christmas food around me at work.

My pharmacist (aka my brother) is experimenting on me for the last 4 weeks too; I am switching from the 2 Male LT Shakes to the Female LT, but still only having 2 Shakes a day. We are going to try it out for a week first and if I feel ok, carry on for the remaining 3 weeks to try and get a bit more weight loss.

Will check in next week with my 3 month weight! Thanks for reading and hope everyone is doing well and keeping healthy :D

Erm... haven't you read the info about calories. If you go too low your body switches from ketosis (burning fat) to starvation (burning muscle)?

Yep I have. I should mention my normal calorie requirement is extremely low since I use a wheelchair.

Even with the 570 calories on the Mens LT, I just about stay in Ketosis, hence why my weight loss isn't as good as it could be for a male. If you see my first post you will see in 2008 (Before I used a wheelchair) I lost 13kg in a month, whereas this time round it took me 2 months to drop 15.7kg.

I occasionally miss shakes due to other commitments such as work or football, and when that happens, I can feel the bad breath coming back and using the ketostix, can see I am further in Ketosis.

As I said, it's something we are going to try for a few days to see how it goes and how I feel. If it's too much, I will revert back to the Male LT or go to 3 Female Shakes.

Thank you for your concern however :)

I'd perhaps try the 3 female shakes first rather than dropping straight to 2 incase you do end up in starvation mode, but as long as your brother is monitoring you then hopefully you'll work out the right balance without affecting your health in any way other than a positive one.

How are you getting on?

Hi KJ! Yep, I had my 12 week weigh-in yesterday and was down to 93.3kg which is a total loss of 21.4kg (47lbs).

I'm really really pleased with how it's going and I feel great. Went out to a party last night and saw friends and family I haven't seen since last year and I got so many comments it was unreal.
When I started I was wearing jeans with a 40" waist, currently I'm sat in a pair of 36" and they are really comfortable too!

I am on 1 male & 1 female shake at the minute, from next week I go down to 2 female shakes for my final 3 weeks. I stop on December 6th (Which will be 4 months) and then starting again after my sisters wedding in January to get to my goal weight of between 75-80kg.

Hope you are all well :)

That's good, I'm glad it's working well for you. Some days I think about skipping a shake to get a bigger loss but I know we have to stick to the 3 because of the nutrients we need daily.

Hi Sag.
congrats on you success, and thanks for sharing your story. Reading others success is kind of replaced my food Chanel addiction and i like a good progress so i can tell myself that it will be worth it. I know that men and women lose weight differently as we are make of different compositions but i still love me some good story.

Well done so far and good luck for rest of the journey.

Thanks for the kind words Jiroos, it really is worth it. Besides the obvious health benefits, the other improvements of everyday life are endless.

I hope you do well on LT and keep us updated on your progress :)

Hi SagVTR!

How are you doing now? I'm really interested to know how Lipotrim has been for you, how hard/easy has it been? I'm only on day 6 (first weigh in tomorrow) and not looking forward to the long months ahead!

Hi Abbz, firstly I hope your weigh-in went well today!

I can't believe I'm about to say this but I've loved being on LT. The benefits of the weight loss are amazing, and I think if you're in the right frame of mind you can carry on for as long as you want. I'm on Day 90 today and as SAD as it sounds, I'm not looking forward to coming off in 3 weeks time.

I was thinking about it after my post the other night, and I've had 3 days in 90 where i have struggled and come close to cheating. Each time I've taken averting action by either;
1) Telling someone who is supporting me so they can talk me out of it
2) Taking a couple of pain-killers
3) Having a shake
4) Going to sleep

I find normal, run of the mill, boring days harder than days out. When I'm out at the football or have to go somewhere from work I don't think about LT at all because there's so much other stuff happening. It's the boring days sat in the office where nothing happens when your mind starts playing tricks with you!

As I said, if you really want to do it, and are sick of your weight, or want to improve your health - LT will work. You need to prepare well, before I started I got a decent shaker, lot's of bottled water, cleared the house of all food etc...(I understand this is difficult for families/couples but I live alone).
The only reason I have managed to stay on for so long is due to seeing the benefits in my health, appearance and the support from my family and friends. I think it's vital to have them on-board so they will stick with you.

All the best, keep us updated on your progress :)

Thank you for your reply! My weigh-in went well, down 8lbs! :D Aw really? Overall I've been enjoying it but I've struggled at times. It's good that you have a busy lifestyle to distract you from food; I'm a work-from-home student so my days consist of sitting at home doing coursework and it gets boring all the time, all I can think about is food!

Yeah, I did really want to do this. I got a handheld blender to mix the shakes and stocked up on bottled water, but I live with my family and the house is full of unhealthy junk and they're always eating pie and chips! Though, I have resisted temptation quite well!

Again, thank you for your reply and support, everyone on here is really helpful :D Well done on getting this far

Hi guys. Just wanted to update this as today is Day 100 on TFR!

Very pleased that I have been 100% all the way through despite a few close calls. These last 6 weeks have been easier than the first with no real cravings or anything at all. As hyped as I was to do this in August, there was no way I actually thought I could do it. I start re-feeding on December 7th which I think is about 12 days time. Although I think I've planned it well and have booked some time off work, I am still quiet nervous.

My water intake has increased to around 3L a day (not including 2 shakes @ 500ml each). Also as some may know I switched from 2 Male shakes a day to 2 Female shakes a day around 2 weeks ago. Besides the female shakes being so much nicer, I haven't noticed any difference at all.

Besides that there is nothing new to report. I will be back on TFR in January for 8 weeks with the aim of getting to my GW of 75kg by my birthday in March.
If my weight loss has been better on female shakes, I will do those 8 weeks on female. If it's the same as my 3 months on Male, I will probably switch back.

Also I was going to wait until my birthday to treat myself to a new car, but in all fairness I'm pretty pleased with myself so have decided to get one before Christmas for doing so well on LT. I also updated my match.com profile with some new pictures and had more messages in a week than I did in the previous 6 months!!

Thanks for reading all - this place has been great on this journey. Hope everyone else is doing well :)

Wow, congratulations on making it this far! Good luck with your refeed, and I hope everything goes well for you when you return to LT in the new year. Go get that car, you earned it :D
