Jenny's last diet ever

Hello all,

Thought I'd write a diary so that I can update daily (If I get time), hopefully keeping my motivation up.

I know LT works as I did it a few years ago. I lost over 4 stone and was over the moon. I maintained for a good while but then when I fell pregnant with my son I gained so much weight. I gained a stone in about a week which might sound crazy but I always gain really fast and it takes forever to lose it on a normal diet, think this is to do with how my body deals with insulin. my son is now 7 months old and I need to lose this weight now. I dont feel happy or confident how I look. When I was pregnant I didnt mind being big as I had an excuse, lol.

I have a lovely husband who hates LT. He really doesnt want me to go back on it but I need to for my happiness so I'm hoping he will be supportive even though he doesn't agree with it.

As of today I weigh 16 stone 1 lb. This the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I have a goal to be somewhere in the 11 stones however, I'm not looking at that, I'm looking at each lb gone as an achievement.

I'm a big saver, last time I did LT I saved £10 for every lb lost and spent it on a new wardrobe when I got to my goal. It was so nice to spend money on myself for a change as it usually goes on my daughters, hubby, house, etc etc. Im going to do the same this time. Last time I had over £500.

I'm doing 30 day squat and sit up challenge which requires you to start with a certain amount of sit up and squats and increase by 5 everyday. Day 1 is done. I decided to start with 50 although some people start with less or more. I am also walking to drop and collect kids from school, usually drive. Its about 10min walk to the school so thats 40 mins of walking a day.

I have had 1 shake so far today. I always mix it with 300ml of cold water and 6 chunks of ice and blend it. I hate the shaker that the chemist sell as it leaves bits in it yuk.

I get a little obsessed with the scales when I'm dieting so I will try my best to only weigh myself once a week but not sure if I will be able to stick to it. Maybe I'll will have a half way through the week weigh in :)

Looking forward to next Thursday when I weigh myself. I am using my scales as they are reliable and I will be using them after I finish LT, other scales may weigh me lighter or heavier so Im sticking to my scales. Pharmacist is ok with it.

was just looking at my profile picture on here. I weighed about 13 and a half stone on it. Cant wait to get there again. Its like a half way goal for me. Although I remember feeling like I was absolutely massive on that holiday. oh well. 2nd shake almost down. I forgot that I did not like strawberry. yuk. sticking to chocolate from now. x x
 
Good luck Jenny. The exercise you are doing will give you a massive boost!

Thank you. Yeah I'll be careful. the challenges are only a few mins per day so not too taxing. Will see how I get on with walking the school runs, might just do half of them walking. x x

so Ive just come to bed as Im feeling hungry. Did I mention that my husband is a feeder? well I usually eat dinner at 5ish with the kids. hubby never eats till about 8/9pm. he always makes me some food or brings me some ice cream in. My body has been having food at that time for a while so is telling me to eat but I will stay strong. Its only food after all.
Im feeling quite tired so think I will look online for a few more minutes and get an early night.

so Im still awake. I have just decided that I am going to aim to stay on LT for 12 weeks. I think that it is very doable to lose 4 stone in this time (hopefully) if I do then I will be over the moon. I would like to have another baby but dont want to get pregnant at this weight as I will end up gaining even more.

anyway Im really going to sleep this time x x
 
Morning all,

I have been up half the night with my daughters, they are 8 & 9 and have caught the sickness bug going round at school. They were both finally sleeping at 6am. Baby woke up at 10am so really pleased as at least gave me a few hours sleep. I think I said yesterday that I was a little obsessive with the scales. well I couldnt resist this morning, 3lbs off already, good feeling to not be in the 16s. I will try and avoid the scales tomorrow. x x
 
You're going to do great! And yes, 4 stone in 12 weeks is achievable especially with the exercise you're going to do, how are you feeling now? The first days are the hardest but they offer the biggest loss so it's worth it :) What are you going to do when Christmas comes?
I wouldn't worry about weighing yourself everyday, I do it too, good luck Jenny! x

Morning abbz, how are you today? To be honest Im feeling really good considering I only had about 5 hrs sleep. Glad its not just me weighing all the time. I have promised my husband that I will have xmas day off the diet, he wants me to have boxing day off too but Im not going to as want to get straight back on the shakes boxing day morning. Even though Im having the day off Im not going to go mad and eat everything. I will mainly eat turkey at dinner so shouldnt be too bad. what are your plans for christmas day? x x

I'm fine thanks, been on this for over three weeks now so feel amazing, not even hungry :D Good! That's a good plan, are you going to refeed before Christmas? That's what a lot of us on here are doing so that we come off of Lipotrim the right way before we start eating loads at Christmas hehe. That's what I'm doing too, refeeding before Christmas, eating healthy (except dinner, who can resist?!) and then going back to Lipotrim ASAP. You will probably do less damage if you refeed first but if you're just going to mainly eat turkey then I suppose it wouldn't be too bad xx

Yeah I can see that refeeding would be a good idea first but I dont want to not get back straight on it, think I might be tempted to carry on eating so just going to not go overboard. Lat time I did LT I had the whole day off on my birthday, had a massive bacon and egg sandwich in the morning (was so yummy), went out for lunch and then went out for an Indian on the evening, where I ate loads, was sure I'd gain but still lost 3lbs. If I sts after xmas wi I will be happy. Best of luck with refeeding. I loved it last time. x x

Oh I see, well then you have a lot more willpower than me :) Hopefully I will be at my goal by my birthday so I won't have to worry about that! Good luck, and thank you, can't wait to actually eat again! xx
 
just ordered some listerine strips as I know bad breath is waiting for me in the next day or 2. Im a counsellor and would feel awful if my clients could smell nasty ketosis breath in the session. also my hubby hates it. hope they arrive soon.

The biggest difficulty for me on this diet is drinking water. I love juice, pop, flavored water etc so drinking plain water tastes horrible. Im literally forcing it down. Hope it will get easier. Last time I was drinking strawberry volvic but this time I am just having plain water. yak
 
ok I can see me spending too much time on here. lol. Kids seem a little better so feeling even happier now.

had a good chat with hubby last night and he has agreed to be supportive, he wants me to 8 weeks max, I only want 4 more so sure he will be ok with it when he sees how much happier I am.

Dont think I had a diary last time, such a good tool though.

I have a slight headache now, maybe it my brain adjusting to the lack of sugar. I'll go and force some water down. x x
 
Today has been pretty good. My son is asleep and my daughters are feeling pretty much better. My headache has gone and Ive only felt hungry a few times so not too bad. I found my post from when I did LT before, it was my 'got to goal' post, I felt a little sad and disappointed with myself as I worked really hard to get to my goal and somehow have managed to gain over 5 stone. Think I will need motivation to maintain once I get to goal. Guess LT is the easy part really, maintaining forever is where it gets hard, saying no to temptation and choosing healthy options etc. I have already planned that I will be joining the gym when I finish LT. I would like to join now but dont want to do so much exercise whilst on such a small amount of calories, so I will carry on with my sit up/squat challenges and walking only until I'm off LT. Once off LT I will hit the gym hard. I was a GYM instructor yrs ago and loved working out so hopefully I will find that love for it again.

Right off to make the dinner and my last shake of the day x x

Just been reading a post on here about trying on clothes and had me thinking, I have about 3 pairs of work trousers that are just a tiny bit too tight. They are size 18, I couldnt bare buying a 20 :( so getting into these trousers is going to be another mini goal for me. I know week 1 generally brings a big loss so I am hoping and praying that I might get into them next week. If not maybe the week after.

Finished my shakes for the day. feeling good and positive. I'm not even missing food which is something that happened a lot last time I did LT, think I'm in a different frame of mind now x x
