What little things keep you going?

Loving & Losing
Every week I seem to add to my motivation..

At the start of my journey, it was the excitement of the the first weeks weigh in...

On the 2nd week, the thrill of my first weeks loss kept me happy..

On the 3rd week it was the fact that I realised that this isnt a diet, but id found a new relationship with food.

And now on my 5th week its the thrill of find old clothes that I havent worn, nor even looked at in 2-3 years... and finding they are baggy on me!

I have such a long road ahead, but these little boost make it a journey that i will never forget..:)

For me, it's knowing I will be able to function more as a person not having to take deep breaths after going up stairs or even just doing my shoe laces up, (my gut pushing into my chest and then that pushing into my chin) it's almost like being a 85 year old ( no offence to 85 year olds) I want to be a functioning person again I want to be around for grand children. That's what keeps me going. :)

I think your comment made a great point - "make it a journey that i will never forget.." that the most important part is the journey - not the destination. For me - I am looking forward to concieving, being healthier and fitter, gaining my life back. (and a tiny part is saying nicer clothes) LOL

I also have big reasons.. obviously health, and to see my beautiful teenagers grow, get jobs, get married and have babies of their own.. but the little boosters i seem to find week by week are extra pushes towards my final destination... I know each step in the right direction makes my smile that much wider.. x

Definitely the weekly weigh ins- they keep me focused. But the way I feel in myself week after week as the pounds drop off is the best. My confidence is coming back and I am having a better relationship with food and myself!

i just like the new me i feel better in myself now im not eating junk food
