I have a Lot of weight to lose.. about 10.5 stone would be about right..

Have tried and failed on more than one occasion. However i hit the 40yo birthday this year and i suddenly realized that i might be running out of time where i am young and fit enough to actually 1) be able to and 2) be fit enough to enjoy life in the way i want to have, and do the things i want to do, once i lose the stones that i have been wanting to lose for the last 20 years! :S

I have already wasted 1/2 my life on trying and failing. (which i guess is better then NOT trying.. :D But still.)

I so want to get to the end and it just seems SUCH an impossible task! :S

and WHY is is so impossible to find gym wear when you need a 57 inch hip 49 inch waist!!!! I plain.. sigh. Its so frustrating, I have actually had the urge to go spend some time on a recumbent bike at the gym but my gym trousers no longer fit since the last time i went.. (2 years ago - before a knee injury and the resulting not going pity eating 5 stone increase.)

So needed the Rant! Thanks for the virtual ears!

Hello and welcome! I started out on here with about the same amount to lose as you have, so I know how daunting it feels, but this really is a great place for motivation and support. All the best. :) xx

Thankyou Tracy!

Welcome & good luck. What diet / plan are you doing?

I totally agree regarding workout gear - very annoying

Slimming world same as you appear to be doing great at! :p

Don't suppose you found any S_J_B ?

Hi Deb and welcome :)

We're all here to cheer each other on, everyone is very welcoming and helpful :)

Thankyou Ladyfelsham! Nice to be here!

I agree with waist/hip ratio love - I need mine to be biggish to get over my hips but my waist is tiny in proportion so nothing stays up (!)

Welcome :D xx

Welcome! :D

Ugh, I hear you on the workout gear. It's such a hassle finding stuff that is comfortable and fits and won't make you roast alive. Oh, and if you work out in public, stuff that you don't mind being seen in!

I've found yoga trousers to be a bit of a godsend, since a few places do them up to 30/32 (I think Yours and Simply Be do, and maybe Evans?). Thinner than jogging bottoms, so even though they aren't made from an ideal fabric for workout gear, you do stay a bit cooler in them.

Good luck, and I'm sure you'll do great!

oh i love yours :D

Good luck with your goals hun xxx

Ooooo Yoga trousers.. now theres a thought.. goes to investigate.. :p

Good luck with your goals hun xxx

Thanks Jules! You to!

Good luck hun. It's daunting at the start, but I'm learning to look at 7lb mini goals rather than the end game.... eventually when ya hit enough mini goals the end goal isn't as far away :)

Simplybe, Fashion world, and Yours clothing all have exercise gear with most going up to a size 32.
I prefer the stuff from Yours, they have purple jogging bottoms and I love them!

I also work out in leggings and a longer t-shirt, no special exercise gear needed :)

I just wish you could get moisture wicking gear in big sizes - I had sweaty knees  this morning as well as my usual beetroot face / sweaty back!!

Same here.
The minute I start to exercise I sweat (so not attractive!)

Maybe a minimins member could create a decent exercise clothing range!

Well defiantly seems to be a problem finding decent stuff in BIG sizes. .. sigh On the bright side i lost another 2 pounds this week. :p

Thanks guys! :D Maybe just Maybe i can round out the first stone loss next Monday! Only 2 more Pound to go!

Then maybe i can get down to a 32 so i can get something halfway decent! :p
