Journey to Size 12 - 100lbs to lose!

Well I've been lurking around since August and thought it was about time that I started a diary!

I'm going to lose at least 100lb to get me well into the 10s. I've lost 1 stone 4lbs already without finding things too hard. I started at nearly 18 stone (my heaviest ever weight), a size 24/22 and my BMI had hit 40 (morbidly obese). My health has not been great with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and very dodgy knees.

I realised that I've wasted the last 8 years hiding myself away from society and getting fatter and fatter. I needed to do something. Knowing Weight Watchers has worked for me in the past, I joined back up.

I hope to post weight losses, recipes, ramblings and NSVs here and welcome any support you lovely people can offer!

Hi Kim! Welcome to the WEMITTS and good luck!! You're in the right place for support and motivation, and you've made a fantastic start already, so I'm positive you can achieve your goal. I've got dodgy knees too, so I know how important it is to lose weight and look after them. :) xx

Well done on your loss so far, that's a great start! Hope you have a lovely smooth journey to the 10's :)

Thanks for your welcomes!

Today I'm feeling quite proud of myself. In a late meeting, there were all manner of cakes, brownies, flapjacks and chocolate covered biscuits on offer. I managed to stay away from all of them! I also don't feel deprived. I just really would like a weight loss this week rather than the 10 seconds of pleasure I'd get from a sugar and carb moment!

Ive been sneaky peaking a lot this week and it looks like I'm on for a loss. I'm only 3lbs away from my next silver 7 but I think it will take another week to get that!

Hope everyone is having a good week?

I'm so happy that the TOTM plateau is over. 4.5lbs lost this week (22.5lbs total). I must remember when I hit plateaus in the future that I must keep going!

I'm so looking forward to being in the 15s as I'll hit my 10%, 2 stone lost and 2.5 stone lost. I'll also go into Obese class I and size 18s should start to fit (at least my bottom half anyway!). That's a lot of motivation!

Hope everyone is doing well

Had a good week. I've been eating well and managed to make all my work lunches this week (no dangerous trips to the supermarket!). I walked for an hour on Friday without really breaking a sweat and had to dress up for work and I didn't have a nervous breakdown about clothes not fitting me.

I'm having some nice meals today - Mediterranean fish stew for lunch and cauliflower and brussel sprout cheese with bacon for dinner. I'm also very excited to be playing with my new popcorn maker (will save me a fortune from buying the Tyrrels multipacks each week!).

The scales haven't moved much so far this week, but I'm in this for the long haul!

Two non-scale-victories there love! Well done! :)

They'll soon get moving - we're all behind you!

(Also - great name! ;))

Yes. Yes we are ;)

Officially I do have the I but I've always put the Y myself  ;)

I do have the extra e in at the end too! :) x

Lost 1lb this week. I'm really pleased as my scales were saying it was going to be close. I was tempted not to go to weigh-in (WW meeting) but I'm glad I went. I would have weighed in on Saturday instead but not going is very dangerous territory for me.

I've had a very active day. I was teaching about being healthy and the importance of exercise, so we spent an hour doing lots of different sorts of aerobic exercise and strength exercises. I completely out-paced my 8/9 year olds!! Great for me but seriously worrying for their generation!

Considered a takeaway but went for a lovely bowl of pasta and chilli instead. Feeling very virtuous!

I really don't like Sundays! They are the day I stress about work, am always tempted to binge and there's not even anything good to watch on TV! I'm muddling through though. I went out with friends last night and for the first time, I didn't feel huge. I am still pretty huge (in my eyes) but it didn't stop me enjoying myself. I even danced a little!

I made are a nice, filling spicy butternut squash soup for lunch and am making a minced pork pad thai for dinner (my new favourite recipe!).

Ive got got a cold so can't face doing any exercise. I'm feeling good though. Since giving up smoking in May, and eating healthily since August, my body seems to be coping a lot better!

Hope everyone is ok?

I've got a cold too. :( Typical it should start on the day I decided to finally get back on track! Hope you feel better soon x

I used to hate Sundays too when I was a teacher (many moons ago now). But they're not too bad at the moment because in the job I have now I can work from home. Sometimes I spend the whole day in my jammies. ;) I figure no one can see me, so why not? :)

Your food sounds lovely, especially the butternut squash soup.

You're doing so well weight-wise. It's lovely when you start to feel as though you're getting somewhere. Hope that's me in a few weeks' time.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Just popping in to say hi, well done on your weight loss so far, and I hope you feel better soon. Lots of nasty bugs about as the weather changes. My little one is giving a run of them at the mo. Xx
