Lots to lose but taking it one day at a time

After being refused a MRI because of my weight I have decided to do something about it!
I want to use this as my diary and motivation to carry on this very difficult but also very rewarding road!
I would appreciate any guidance and encouragement going as I have to do this from home due to no class fitting in with my work schedule.
So nice to meet you all. I will slowly fill you in about who I am. Just needed to take the first step and create my first thread!!

    Welcome!

Oh, goodness, I'm so sorry you were refused the MRI. That must've been a dreadful experience. Well done for taking the first step.

What type of plan are you going to try?

Thanks for all the welcomes and encouragement!
Yesterday was a successful day. Breakfast was porridge with sweetener. Couldn't finish it so had the rest for lunch. It was 50g porrridge so will definitely be making portions smaller.
Went for my VDU eye test yesterday as my job involves continuously looking at a computer monitor (work in a call centre). Need glasses but only for work so that's another change! Hopefully I won't be getting headaches anymore!
Dinner was sirloin steak with roast root vegetables and new potatoes. I also had 2 small glasses of red wine.

Today is D day for the MRI. This time round I gave them my weight over the phone and they said its ok so hopefully this time next week I will know what's wrong...
