Team fab's 2015 water challenge

As we all know, we need water for our bodies to function and without it we would die a lot quicker than if we went without food. What some of you may not know is that water is a FANTASTIC weight loss aid and can speed up losses by flushing out water retention, any toxins that are being released from you losing fat and it replenishes your whole body from head to toe. It can help mend your muscles after exercise, it can fill you up before a meal and the side effect of drinking at least 2 litres of water a day is great skin and weightloss from running to the loo all the time :D

So I've devised another challenge: Let's see if we can drink the equivalent of an Olympic sized swimming pool by 31st December 2015!

Drink your 2 litres (4 pints/8 glasses or cups) a day and add to the running total on the thread. So I will start off...
2

Then someone else competes their daily water intake of 2 litres so then it becomes....

4

Until we reach 2,500,000 litres!!

It's a fun way to ensure we get the water in and if you don't already drink that amount then i bet if you do it for a week you'll have a bigger loss! Get drinking!!!

EDIT: upon looking into it, we will never drink 2.5 million litres between us in a year BUT let's keep going and see how many litres we can make it to!! X

4 :)

A tip that helped me to start remembering to drink water: set reminders on your phone using a calendar app! My phone now bugs me 4x per day to go get a pint of water. I'd like to say it's become a habit now, but I know that when I turn the reminders off, I slip back into forgetting again.

Great idea :) the way I do it is 1 pint with each meal then 1 in the evening xx

Does it have to be plain water or any liquids (not alcohol of course ;) )

Well some people say that sugar free squash and tea is ok so yes I guess yes :)

Just not pops and booze and milkshakes etc xx

Ok

5.5

Is 5.5 our total so far, or just what Jayde has had? :D Hello, spot the airhead in the room :wave_cry:

If the former, then 7.5

Total so far, than add yours on :)

So yep, 7.5! Good job on the 2 litres. I find it hard in the cold weather x

I had a litre at work - I bought the cutest 500ml bottle (non BPA plastic) which makes it easier although we've been relocated and are miles from the kitchen!

Now I'm on my second full teapot of herbal tea (apple crunch and three mint, quite nice), and I sip on 500ml overnight, so it's more than 2 - but that will do for now.
