Gamy's weight loss and TTC/pregnant diary

Hi guys.

Well as a few of you know I've been doing slimming world for 2 weeks now and lost 2.5lbs on my first week and 9.5lbs on my second, giving me a lovely weight loss of 12lbs in total. So I'm thrilled with that. The reason I joined slimming world was for 2 reasons.

1) On the 2nd was I had a late miscarriage at 19 weeks due to me getting sepsis. So at the moment I'm arranging my sons funeral so its a pretty confusing time right now. Life does go though and with 2 children who never knew I was pregnant they just keep me going. My son is 7 but has moderate/mild autism so he wouldn't understand if I had told him, which is fine. He's happy and carefree as he is. My daughter is 10 months and although I told her, she just only understands a few words I say, if anything at all! So despite all this I will be TTC again as I wanted my daughter to have a sibling close in age. I wanted one for my son also, but his dad and I broke up so it never happened. He adores his sister though, so that's fine. So I guess I want to get healthier for my next baby and also to be able to run around after my current children.

2) I got engaged on New years day. My OH always said once Daniel was born he'd propose, so he did, just a bit early than expected. I want to look beautiful on my wedding day. I don't want to be that morbidly obese bride going down the aisle out of breath. So although my goal weight is roughly 9st, I wouldn't mind not getting there before my wedding, I just don't want to be this big!

So that's a bit of the reasons why I'm loosing weight. I did have an Indian last night, so I have all week to burn that off plus some. I'm going to try and start working up to doing daily exercise. I don't mind exercise, but I do get bored of it. So even if I only manage once this week that is better than nothing. It's just fitting it in around children which will be the issue! So I'm going to basically record what I eat and if I do exercise. As for drinking I'm terrible for drinking. So I'm going to really push myself. I want you ladies and gents to be honest with me. If I've miss calculated, or not done something right to give me a good kick up the butt as I always start well, but loose motivation in about 2 weeks time, this time I want to break that trend.

you are going to look a lovely bride im sure off it you will get there your children and your husband to be sound beautiful

good luck my darling you will do it and daniel will be with you in your heart all the way to succeed
 
So sorry to hear about your loss lovely :( He will always be with you and with that motivation you can't fail! We are always here for you :) x
 
Thanks ladies. My cycles are all messed up because of it which isn't what you want when TTC, but these things happen and we just get on with it.

I think yesterday went well.

Breakfast 2x alpine light bars Heb

Lunch 4x laughing cow light Hea, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cabbage, ham, celery, carrot, just turned into a salad, nothing interesting.

Dinner rice, leek, onion, peas, pepper, chicken, lamb, gammon all turned into special fried rice cooked the healthy way.

Syns kit kat 5.5 and options hot chocolate 2.5 syns = 8syns in total.

Didn't manage exercise as I was far to busy.
 
Big hugs Gamy, I'm so sorry to hear about Daniel - but wow you are sounding great - really determined to get healthy and get ready to grow your family.

How brilliant about the engagement - did he go down on one knee? :)

Re the drinking - I drank way over the recommended limit every few days last year, and had always been a heavy wine drinker - but I thought, I'll just stop for a bit until I get the no smoking thing under control - and it has been over two weeks now, I'm sleeping loads better, feeling better - so am going to keep it up for a while yet. Why not try it for a week and see how you get on?
 
My OH isn't romantic at all. But on the plus side he did let me pick out my own engagement ring, so I guess if I buy the ring its a bit hard to propose to. I'm not a fan of diamonds so got an amethyst band instead.

That's a great idea ladyfelsham. I'll give it a go.

Any my meal times

Breakfast 2x alpine bars heb

Lunch 1: left over special rice. Was rather a small portion so I got hungry later so had

Lunch 2: Small jacket potato with beans, 2 slices of ham and 4x diarylea triangles,

Dinner: Pork chops (fat removed) sweet potato, cabbage, courgette, runner beans.

Exercise achieved. Managed a 23 minutes exercise dvd. Can do most of the exercises minus crunches with my legs as it really hurts. Hopefully the weight loss should fix this.
 
So I had another good day yesterday. Motivation is still lasting, although I've never made a diet pass the 2 month mark. I get bored and miss food.

Yesterdays menu

Breakfast: Quaker multigrain honey porridge heb

Lunch: Rice, chicken, bacon (no fat), peas, mushrooms, onion, tomato, spices, fromage frias. Turning in a curry

Dinner: Lettuce, cabbage, carrot, tomato, cucumber, turkey, for a salad

Syn 2x kit kat 11 syns and hot chocolate 2.5 13.5 in total

No exercise yesterday as I was lazy. My body magic isn't going to get done if I don't remain motivated for the exercise :/
 
Was feeling pretty sorry for myself so went over my syns yesterday, not by much thought so hopefully it shouldn't do to much damage. I was spotting prior to the weekend, then all weekend nothing. Then yesterday came back to on/off spotting. Still there this morning but I really just wish my period would get a bloody move on and get here. There is an off chance I might be pregnant, but I highly doubt it in this case, so not even going to start day dreaming.

Got the dentist later today. Not doing to bad at 29 and only have 1 filling, which I think fell out, but as I have an annoyingly small mouth and if it has falling out, might get her to remove my tooth as its easier.

Breakfast: 2x alpine bars

Lunch: left over curry

Dinner: Salmon, spinach, courgette, sweet potato, corn on the cob and carrots.

Syns 2x kit kat 11, 2x options hot chocolate 5 = 16 syns.

After writing it down it seems I've missed my HeA yesterday. I normally have it with my HeB for breakfast, yes that can mean I have cheese with porridge for breakfast, unless using it later so I guess I changed dinner.
 
Today is a new day, so try to forget about going over your syns yesterday, you are definitely heading in the right direction! What DVD do you do?
 
Blooming hormones eh? Hope the spotting sorts itself out!

As Esta says, that was yesterday, this is today - just stick with the plan and you will see a loss :)
 
To answer your question Estameme a bit of everything. I've brought so many over the years and hardly used them, also I have some fitness games for the wii, so going to get new batteries soon as I keep forgetting. They are more interactive and I enjoy them more I guess. I did promise myself that if I get to my stone loss tomorrow I'll by myself one called Step to the beat. I had it, but my son seems to have scratched it and now doesn't work any more. You basically walk on the spot round an island and if you keep in time with the music, you get more money to buy items to decorate your island. Great gentle exercise for someone as big as me.

I have a date for Daniel's funeral, a week tomorrow. So I'm not sure if I'll get weighed after it as I might be to emotional, but hopefully the spotting has stopped (almost 24 hours now) and just got some cramping, so pretty sure AF will be here soon.

Yesterday I had

Breakfast: Melon

Lunch: Beans on 2x wholemeal bread heb, 2 eggs, ham and 4 diarylea light triangles hea

Dinner: Gammon (fat removed) spinich, sweet potato, courgette, leek, carrot, peas

Syns a packet of pops 4.5 syns hot chocolate 2.5 = 7syns

No exercise yesterday as I went to the dentist and told I needed another filling, but its my wisdom tooth, which is hard to get at and she just won't remove it, so I've got a very painful event coming up on the 3rd Feb.

Its next week Susie, but I'm feeling more positive today. Could be as I get weighed this evening and looking forward to it. I'm hoping to still go to SW after the funeral next week so going to try being really good next week and hoping to change a negative day into a positive evening. I'm forever and optimist and you need to be in this day and age.

Lunch: Subway salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pickles, turkey no sauce)

Dinner: Chicken, passata, mushrooms, red onions, 2x peppers, frozen sweetcorn and pasta. 350ml skimmed milk (hea) I actually like drinking milk :)

Syns: Pops 4.5 kit kat 5.5 hot chocolate 2.5 tea 0.5 14 syns.

I generally stick to cold drinks, sometimes water, but I have found Tesco's zero mango fizzy drink and love it so been drinking that mainly

Almost had to miss it as I had a visitor who refused to leave. Luckily my consultant ran a later group, but OH couldn't come as he had to babysit, so he's weighing in on Saturday. I did get 4.5lbs off so well pleased with that, 1st 2.5lbs in 3 weeks in total. I wanted 5, to get under 26 stones on the scale, but I'll get there this week. Doing extra easy sp this week so should see a nice loss this week.

Lunch: Jacket potato, beans, ham, 4x diarylea triangles

Dinner: Sweet potato, spinach, sweetcorn, peas, leek, courgette, beef steak.

Syns: pops 4.5 kit kat 5.5 hot chocolate 2.5 =13.5 syns

I really need to work on the exercise side but running around after kids all day, its the last thing on my mind when everyone goes to bed.
