My wandering rambling way to the best I can be :)

Hiya I have returned with my tail between my legs but finally have parts of my life under control that were causing me to binge .. I haven't been awful but haven't been the best either so time to try harder and get moving... I am Karen from South Wales and have done every single diet invented to man always seem to end up back on slimming world though but I am using the healthy side of slimming world food plan alongside MFP logging my cals as I am just too greedy to eat normal size portions!! I have also recently bought a fitbit and am totally in love lol I have always loved walking but this is such a fab incentive to keep on moving for me at least.

I have no silly goals of 5 stone in 5 weeks but will happily settle for a loss every week, but do understand being a woman doesn't always make losing weight that easy. So that's the plan and I am posting in the WEMITTS as I really do !! plus your the nicest most friendliest gang on mins x
 
Hi Karen, I'm Essie, welcome back to the fold! I'd love a Fitbit! I use a free step app and find that so motivating alongside MFP. I think a combo of those tools and posting here is keeping me really focussed, I hope you'll continue to feel the same.
Look forward to getting to know you on your journey :)

AWW thank you both, well I have walked till I can wander no more so a quick food diary and bed for me.

Brek- weetabix minis, stewed rhubarb and onken fatfree strawb yog.
Lunch-mugshot, orange, pear.
tea-toast and beans ...

a loose green day...
hea- milk heb weetabixx2 as had 60g
syns- fudge 6, rhubarb 1 as had 100g, mcoys 7, a hifi bar 3.2 toast 8.

clocked 15,250 steps ... Shattered.

As I am over 20stone im having 25 syns as well as aiming for around 1500 kcals MFP says 1480 as I am a shorty lol trial and error at the mo.

Hiyas all and thanks for popping in, I am gutted but my flex has just collapsed and needs fuelling lol, it was 12,500 ish so happy with that today as had a lazier evening than planned.

Foods been good weathers been grey but can def see spring on the horizon now thank goodness.

Brek- 200g stesed rhubarb, 35g shreddies and 100g onken strawb yog.
Lunch w/w lasagne and half a bag of mixed leaves was absolutely lush !!
Tea 200g mayflower curry sauce made up with powder and full of mushrooms peppers and onions with 150g fresh mushrooms cooked into it and another plate of the salad leaves that was amazing too.
Snax have been very snacky kitkat, hifi, banana, apple, laughing cow and quavers I should have had a bowl of cereal instead of the rubbish but didnt fancy to be honest cals were just about smack on so pleased with 1492 kcals ..

I love a challenge !! the steps def get easier as does walking up hills !!! Right time for bed got 3 days off now so will have time to read some diaries xx

Hiyas all i lost 5.5lb this week and got my stone certificate. Fitbit is def helping for sure, and got slimmer of week so spent 20 mins stewing some fruit from last week its lush and in a jar for breakfasts with cereal ..
Foods today have been cal counted rather than synned and had a bowl of corned beef stew for tea was blooming gorgeous. At this moment in time im trying to warm up in bed with elec blanket on im frozen !!

Evening everyone time is a killer when trying to fit everything in in life x Saturday and today have been fab days on plan cals wise Sat and 11,000 odd today has been a fab day and 20,000 steps im zonked mind.. Sunday was a right off mothers day treats a strop and hubby working double shift had me reach for cake and chocs alas will I ever learn ? Essie's book arrived this morning so tucked up in bed reading now really intrigued by this x

As long as you enjoyed Mothers Day, that's the most important thing...well that and getting back on track haha! Sounds like you've got those steps licked! 20,000 wow!
I hope you find some words that inspire you in the book, hun. She challenges a lot of deep rooted pre-conceptions about dieting etc, and I'm not 100% doing it all yet (I still weigh, and I chat about weight loss) but all the addiction tips I do my best to follow. I'm loving combining it with diet and exercise. Love it or find it useless, let me know what you think :) Night!
 
Morning, yesterday was a busy one work, housework, football club, walking to clock steps is there ever enough hours in a day. Food wise was good I hit 1700 kcals which I am trying to use as a starting place MFP is trying to get me on 1330 surely that can't be right !! So I am starting there and trying to stick to slim world basis still, but it's so nice to have a cappuccino and a kitkat lol

Essie I have started the book only got a little way in as collapsing in bed shattered at the mo but wow it so hits the nail on the head with so many scenarios and I will def yell with my findings.

I know A fair few of you are cal counting where did you find your baseline starting calorie figure please.. I have lost last two weeks but need to get the right number to stop myself stalling, I know there is no exact figure but I am a little lost now with all these exercise cals I am earning too.

Brek- shreddies, Weetabix minis -65g, 100g stewed apples and berries and onken mango ff yog.
Lunch- s/w sweet potato and spinach curry and an orange.
Tea- thinking cod in butter sauce and a jacket, or poss hunters chicken and a jacket.
Snacks- 2 cappuccinos and 2 kitkats --- LUSH!! at least 2.5 litres of fluids.

Aiming for 1700 kcals and 15,000-20,000 steps again I have made it last 2 days and woke ache free which is amazing !!
 
Hmmm 1330 does seem low - there are lots of calorie calculators out there, the others can point you to them, but I know they are clear in that it's better to start off high and gradually reduce down :)
 
I am back to what I know best and know works, green and red days .. today has been a fab green day had plenty of speed and fluids I am so struggling to fi the steps in on work days hope the lighter evenings will help as it's impossible to work 8 hours run a home and be mum as well as set aside a few hours for walking something has to give...I am on 9,000 ish now will walk dog round block until I hit 10 and thats me as I am zonked !! Red day tomorrow :)
