I know I sound crazy but please I need my head thinking straight, over the last 2 days I have eaten 3000 calories on one day and 2800 today, I've completely binged out but I went to the gym on the first day and burnt 550 calories. is this going to make me gain weight ? please advise I'm getting so stressed out I just want to eat what I want !
 
It really depends on how many calories you need in your daily life. Broadly speaking (as I'm sure you know) if you eat more than your body needs you gain. Soldiers for example need up to 6000 cals a day - as do professional tennis players.When we maintain naturally if we overeat one day we tend to under-eat another day and it balances out. If we have a lazy day we should naturally want less food. If we eat more we should naturally want to be more active. I think when we are dieting we are over focused on food and therefore don't maintain naturally. When we overeat we feel guilty and more focus goes on food so we want to eat more. For me I know I will only be truly successful when I don't have to focus on food so much on a daily basis, then my body will naturally eat only what it needs. Roll on that day!
 
ok I go running 3 - 4 times a week for 45 mins which burns around 500 calories per section and my job involves a lot I walking around. I'm maintaining my weight I just don't know how many calories I'm suppose to eat x
 
There are some great free sites where you type in you gender, age, height and activity level and it calculates your maintenance calorie requirement. It averages out at about 2000 for a woman and 2500 for a man if they are medium height and moderately active. Try Tescodiet for example and type in your information.

Hi ALB - it's hard to get the right balance and as long as you are not eating the wrong types of food I think you should listen to your body (not your head) Sometimes we like to self-sabotage just to test the limits! I've been doing that recently and it's not a healthy mind-set to get into!
I agree with Lass - I will feel like I've succeeded when I am not focusing so much on everything I eat! Hows it been going the last few weeks for you?
 
thanks to both of you. it's been going ok, I've been going to the gym a lot and lat week I ate so much ice cream and cake I think I had 3 tubs of ice cream and a whole cake! but I lost half a stone! god knows what's going on with myself xx
 
I suggest that you eat little amount of everything you want just to satisfy your taste buds because if you deprived yourself from not eating this or that the result will be just eating it whole or a lot of it
 
I found this slimming pills that I use everyday since I am having problems to maintain my efforts losing weight with so much work that I need to do.. But the main purpose that I use this is because I don't bowel regularly.
