omg KD.. Bless you honey.. it sounds so interesting about the diet club though.. how could somone who was maintaining have 1000 calories a day? or is that what you have to have?

There was no maintenance level set. You just left when you got to goal. The 1,000 was for losing weight. As things weren't calorie labelled, it was easier to just stick to the 1,000.

After all, I didn't really have the experience of calories. For all I knew, a peanut could have the same amount of calories as a pork pie. It's easier now as it's all labelled and talked about more often.

1,000 cals wasn't many. With no skimmed milk, 1/2pt of whole milk would have been about 180 cals and with the lack of low cal substitutes, it must have been quite difficult to feel full on what's left.

I do remember being hungry...but then I'm hungry on most diets whatever the level

wk 1: -10.5lbs
wk 2: - 0lbs ... but i didn't gain. Weigh exactly the same, despite my mini break

What I achieved by March 2008 ..... The ticker below is not up to date as I put some weight back on while trying to lose the last 1.5stone

Started vlcd Sep 2007: 20 stone 1lb
Lost 91 lbs by 13/04/08





14.0 inches lost off my waist so far
8.5 inches lost off my bust/back so far
10.5 inches off my hips so far
6.0 inches (approx) off my thigh
