Wink I know it's a women's prerogative to change her mind, but this is ridiculous!

Appreciated the "Food Dump" thread greatly: dealing with temptations relating to eating foods that are not good for us emotionally and physically!

Thought I would start a thread that deals with an issue I have had problems with in the past - this will keep me accountable to everyone...woo hoo!!!!

Please, feel free to join in!

This thread is for people who have a problem with constantly changing their minds about a course of action they have committed to! Hence, the title: "I know it's a women's prerogative to change her mind, but this is ridiculous!"

The root meaning of the word, "decide" - means TO CUT OFF FROM - in other words, no going back!

If you're in the middle of a horse race, you don't change horses in the middle of the race.....end up getting badly injured!

Previously, when I have had unresolved fears and internal issues, I would change what I committed myself to...largely due to impatience, doubts etc....

This is a forum to "BLURT" your fears, temptations to change course....a safe place to acknowledge the feelings by writing it down and FE-AFFIRMING YOUR CHOICE TO STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR COURSE OF ACTION!

That could be: i.e; going back to old eating habits, or not following through with a healthy action!

    So, let's "BLURT"

    * Negative thought pattern to change:

I felt fearful of doing weights in case bulked up - wanted to change and not to weights anymore!

    * Positive pattern:

The right type of training - weights and cardio combined will enable me to be lean, have a higher metabolic rate and burn more calories at rest
    - I choose to stick to my course of action of doing weights for health and wellness!

    Have a go, it works!

Tap my heels and say: "there is no place like home"

I don't change my place of resident every time I have a negative thought, so darn it, I AM NOT CHANGING OR GOING BACK ON MY DECISIONS - I CHOOSE TO KEEP WHAT I AGREED TO!

    I'm just ranting to myself...lol

I'm not sure if this is quite what you are looking for, but even if I take 2 steps forward and 1 step back , all th etime, I will still get to the finishing line. It's okay to have set backs as long as they don't over take the successes in number.
