Going wheat free?

One of my biggest triggers for weight gain is wheat. I chomp far too much bread, pasta etc when not SSingon cambridge or LL last year.
So I am thinking about going wheat free when I get back to target weight. Anyone done this and felt better health-wise?

I wouldn't unless you have a health problem and need to cut out wheat. Your body needs carbohydrates, just like it needs protein and some fat. Also, you'll be amazed what foods contain wheat - it isn't just the obvious ones like bread and pasta, you'll find it in everything, so you'd have to read labels even of sauces! It's so much better to cut back on your portion sizes and eat a well rounded nutritionally sound diet, than cut out major food groups which could harm your health. No amount of weight loss is worth that.
