Question about food

So I am the type of guy who is over weight, have a lot of stress in my life and need to lose weight. I have gotten into the habit of rewarding myself in the evening with a brownie and milk to celebrate making it through the day, I don't drink or smoke so food was a reward. I have been looking to make better choices so I switched to fruit in the evening. I enjoy seedless grapes, Avocado, or strawberries. Here is my question. Are these good choices? I figure they must be better then a brownie right? I know grapes have lots of sugar but is natural sugar better then the regular white sugar? I know Avocado is both good and bad with the whole fat thing, but I need something a little sweet or filling. Things like popcorn don't work for me, they are not filling, it's like eating nothing. So please let me know about my questions and also please let me know what sweet tasting snack you have in the evening to keep from putting on the pounds. I have to stay away from Chocolate since it is my trigger for Migraines. I am also going to stat exercising as well.

Hi there! Interesting point that you make but at the end of the day when it comes to weight gain it's the overall amount that you eat which will determine whether you will be piling on the pounds. The fruit and/or veg is of course a much better thing to have but the occasional brownie is quite acceptable depending as to where you are in the weight scale of things. As you don't let us know what you are at the moment by not filling in the info at the side of this page( which you can see from mine).. it's hard to be able to advise you properly one way or another. However..the short answer is yes to the fruit instead of the brownie..
