eplilator - do you use one?

Do they REALLY work? I am not one for getting my hair removed by another. I don't think much of immac - esp for bikini area (end up looking like a plucked chicken a day or two later - not a good look), razors are okay but it grows back quick, home waxing .... too messy. The most I'll do is use Boots single use cold wax strips. So, what about epilators?

Do you use one at home yourself?
How often do you use it?
Would you consider yourself of low medium or high hair quantity?
DOES IT HURT?

Do you use one at home yourself? Yes

How often do you use it? When I remember. Ummm. Once a month...or maybe twice a year (bad memory)

Would you consider yourself of low medium or high hair quantity? Probably medium. Hard to compare as everyone else remembers to use theirs

DOES IT HURT? Yes

Depends if it fits in with other sado-masochistic practices you may be practising. Be warned though...don't use it for nasal hair. Not only painful, but makes the 'grater' part of the epilator all gungy.

Would you consider yourself of low medium or high hair quantity? I have fairish hair so leg hair not really dark
DOES IT HURT? Yes, but you do get used to it, wouldn't recommend for use other than legs.
This is the second epidlady I have owned, I cut my own hair as I hate going to the hairdressers, so couldn't be doing with going to get my legs waxed. Shaving needs doing too often, so epilady good for this.

Like I said I have been using it for years and now have large patches where leg hair no longer grows - don't know if this is normal, but less hair to epilady anyway.

How often do you use it? Like KD.= when I rememeber. ? monthly, sometimes less.
Would you consider yourself of low medium or high hair quantity? Umm..probably lowish.
DOES IT HURT? Ummm Did the first time, but seems to get less with each use. Legs now only feel a sort of tingling with occ a slight smarting. even armpits only unconmfortable. The really great thing is that hairs grow back withb a fine tip & not all at the same rate so you don'y get the 2 day black-head type stubble.
Wouldn't ever go back to shaving. Also much less painful than waxing as can do it at your own speed.

I agree. Hair seems to be less after a couple of years of using it. Logically this should be the cae, like eyebrow plucking. If yoiu wrench the hair out of the follicle often enough, the follicle should be damamged & grow a less vigorous hair.

GO ON !!! get one!!!

so it wouldn't be good for bikini area then?

I'm thinking it sounds like the pain would be unbearable in that area but it is worth considering for the legs/underarms

I have never tried bikini area, but find underarms quite painful, legs are immune now.

Diet: following low GI and exercise
Not into pain either! Immac I think is the best for those bikini areas/under arms.....oh the other thing to be careful of is if you have naturally curly hair - you can get ingrown one when you are taking hair from below the hair line....as I learnt from bitter experince....OUCH!!!!
