I finally decided to do something about my weight.....

I started at 13st 8lb and bought....
Josie Gibsons 30 second slim DVD (High intensity interval training) and work out 5-6 times a week
Omega 3-6-9 capsules (x3 a day)
L-carnitine (which I have stopped now)
African Mango capsules with Green Tea. (x2 a day)

I totally changed my diet....
Fish x2 a week
Loads of green veggies
Whole-wheat pasta x1-2 a week
No bread
No potatoes (I did have homemade baked chips yesterday)
No fizzy drinks or juices
2-2.5 litres of water a day

Soya light instead of milk for breakfast which is the same everyday (x1 sachet of oats with 1tbs of sultanas, 125ml soya milk, 1tsp honey)
LUNCH - Salad with mackerel, grilled chicken or 100g baked falafel & hummus, or a carrot & coriander soup with a No fat yoghurts
DINNER - Grilled chicken or fish with veggies
SNACKS - 1 clementine/handful of grapes/strawberries/almonds

The 1st week I lost 5lb and was on such a high.
The 2nd Week I lost 3lb
This is my 3rd week and started taking Xenical (x3 a day) from Monday dinner time, and I have not lost a thing this week.

I really don't know what I have done wrong I should have lost something. I have had the odd Eat Natural bars which has nuts/seeds/puffed rice/honey and glucose.

I really don't know what more I can do....I feel like getting a bag of fish n chips to drown my sorrows...when you work so hard you wanna see the results and when the scales don't move it's so disheartening.

ANY TIPS GREATLY APPRECIATED

THANX

and good luck to you all

When starting the tablets some people get bloating and "poo rentention". Lol can't go properly .. More water if you can

If you can't go my fav is prunes in natural juice
Or sennakot

Or if that not the issue - sometimes it just out body being stubborn! It takes longer for weight to come off than to put it all back on!

Also bear in mind that your omega capsules are fatty so may react with the Xenical and give you side effects. Your oily fish may have the same effect. Apart from that I'd keep doing what you're doing, the weight WILL come off if you keep up the good work.

Thank you soooo much for your reply...I really appreciate you taking the time. I really can't do anymore water as it runs right through me and I'm always in the toilet after every sip lol.

I will give the Senakot a go...HATE prunes and see what happens.

I just think I'm tooooo impatient and want results NOW after working sooo hard.

Once again...Thanx it's nice to be able to talk about it and someone understand :)

If that's the case you're drinking too much, hon. You need around 1.2 litres a day in addition to food, and if you're on the loo all the time it's too much - the rule of thumb is to go for a wee once every couple of hours, and your urine should be straw coloured, not either too dark or clear. Drinking too much is pointless and in some cases can even be dangerous, so just be careful. :) xx

VERY funny...thanx for sharing xxx

:) I think the thing is to drink when you're thirsty, certainly, but not to think you need to down litres of the stuff, because that's not true. I only drink coffee, with the occasional fruit tea and Options hot choc, certainly at this time of year when I don't want cold drinks - brrrrr!! Hope you soon start seeing the results you want - we're all here to support you. :) xx

Thank you I will defo be taking your advice. Drinking so much water became restrictive for me I felt I couldn't drink if I knew I had to pop out. I will also try the Options hot choc. I love a hot drink (but miss having a bicci with it) and really hate the Green Tea. xx

Oh I hear you there - I tried green tea and really couldn't take to it! I have some fruit tea now, which isn't as bad, but still prefer my coffee - I do try to drink quite a bit of decaff at work so I'm not too drugged up on caffeine, lol. I love Options, tend to have one in the evenings with some fruit - the coconut ones are nice, and the orange, but there's loads of different flavours. :) xx

Do you have and milk and sweetener in your coffee?????..I have cut out white sugar and milk (use soya light)...would love to have coffee but need that sweetness and creamyness lol xxx

There are alternative's to sugar.

Stevia - liquid drops or powder - sweetleaf are a nice brand.

Tiana coconut nectar sugar - all natural made from coconut trees - tastes great in hot drinks and baking

Or honey.. Mild honey has less of a honey flavour , or just slowly cut down your sugar in the coffee - I did that with my hot choc - I have only a very little bit of sweetener in my drink now and make it with just plain cocoa powder.

I have my coffee black with no sugar, so don't have to worry about the calories. I've always drunk it like that, but my husband gave up having sugar in his a while back and soon got used to it. :) xx
