Hi. Check with my fitness pal about the number of calories you should have, I currently have 1230 per day. Exercise is key for me I think, keeps me on the straight and narrow and makes me feel really good. Stick to the rules and you will have no problem losing weight for your weigh in, good luck!
I should add that I'm not actually taking Orlistat at the moment!! But have been there, and have stayed lurking around this forum.

Hi myfitnesspal is good for tracking foods etc.. If your starting its prob best to start at a higher level of kcals 1600/1800

I used xenical to start with and lost about 10kg, during the shortage of Xenical had to reassess my WOE with out the tablets.. I found that using Xen I was eating low fat/high sugar items too much which stalled my losses - now I avoid wheat and try to avoid things high in sugar (ice cream and dark chocolate are exceptions, but I try to limit them lol)

Good luck with your journey and remember no question is too silly even if its been asked before

following primal blueprint and experimenting with the 5:2 fasting diet
    2013 Goals!
    Kick DietCoke habit!!
Reduce my intake of sugar & fake sugar
Eat primally - Eat plants and animals.. Etc
    Eat less processed food.

    • 2 x Kettlebell classes a week - Monday morning and Thursday evening.
    • Once fitter want to start a Zumba class - high impact - hope my heel will be ok with that
    • March/ April want to start jogging - C25k. :•)
    • start walking to school again when weather warms up.

Would you say orlistat really helped you or it was more of your own efforts?
Yes i guess 1460/1500 is what my fitness pal suggests too for 1 and half pound loss per week on Sedentary. I really need to fit excercise in but feel soooo lazy :/

Hi hon! I've been on Orlistat for 20 months now and have lost 8st 5lbs so far. I started on around 1,800 calories a day and now eat around 1,500, and I do no exercise. In terms of how much it helps, it's hard to say - in theory I should have been able to lose just as much without it, but there's no doubt that it gives you a mental edge if nothing else - the consequences of eating high far are so dire that you just don't, lol. Hope you have lots of luck with it. xx

    Thank You So much!
I am thinking of starting on 1600 for a month and see how it goes! Yes i guess it is obvilously most of your own efforts but i soppose its good to know that orlistat is helping to block some fat out of the system and help that teeny bit more x
Do you mind if i ask how tall you are as you started on a higher number of calories and i am thinking of doing that to start with because i struggle with tryinf to control myself..it is early days but hopefully will slowly get there..My next weigh in monthly in JUne. i desperatley want half stone off

I'm 5'8" hon. I always recommend starting higher then gradually reducing - you're far less likely to give up that way. Introduce changes slowly. xx
