    Thai food

    My friend has picked a Thai restaurant to eat at for her birthday on Friday but I've no clue what I will be able to have

    Has any of you managed to have Thai food before?

    I would be grateful for any ideas x

    That's a hard one.. It might be best to cut down to one a day or stop the pills tomorrow and restart the morning after the Friday night before .. But just remember that you want to choose the low fat menu items.. Look for grilled, steamed, boiled .. Take your own low fat dressing in your hand bag (I did lol)

    Boiled rice with ???
    Thai salad .. Um.. Nothing deep fried
    Grilled prawns / other meats ?
    Steamed fish sauce in the side

    Just make sure you ask for dressing on the side of the salads; no sauce etc no oil added to the grilled items..

    Hmm yeah this is tricky - I agree with Mis-behave - nothing fried obviously. Steamed things, boiled.... stir fry can be good. It's hard as Thai food is yummy! It's not generally known to be too bad. Stick with chicken or prawn dishes.     Can you call the restaurant ahead? I had to go for an Italian on Tuesday night and was a little concerned. Called them, explained the situation and they cooked separately for me. Appreciate that not all places will be that helpful but may be worth a phonecall? Xx
