Well been reading up about this forsome time and decided to go for it armed with my primal food list from mark sisson I'm ready to roll !!!!!

I've currently been trying to do dukan but kept failing as it really was too strict and I missed my fruit & veggies and I really wasn't getting the fab results to justify my lack of nourishing food and after all health is far more important :):)

Anyway I'm having a couple of detox days first as im supporting a friend on twitter but will start a diary in the hope that more people jump on board so we get our own forum xx

Here's to primal and good health x

Oh yes! A couple of weeks ago I had a Sunday afternoon carb fest (it started with a slice of coffee and walnut cake and went downhill from there...). I haven't felt the need since - I still feel that having cream and fry ups and such are treats - I wonder if that will go away after a while?

I haven't felt the need since. I don't plan to go off piste but if I really feel the urge I think I will.

After you're truly "fat-adapted" (burn fat instead of glucose) its much easier to resist and much easier to get back on track. At least that's what I have found so far. It is a bit of a whole new world for me - even my most successful diets in the past have included regular (usually weekly) binges, followed by cutting back...

Yeah I'm not gonna plan them in like you say having the cream and nut butters and dark choc seems treat enough (hopefully that feeling will last)....unfortunately other diets have always led me to binge and done much the same as you which I'm really trying to stop x

When do you become "fat adapted" ???

I dont know when, but I knew I was ok when I could exercise well without carbs or even when fasting - for the first few weeks I felt like I had lead in my legs, then suddenly, I was fine.

Try this article on what it means to be fat adapted

I love his site I spent all night last night reading it but still so much to get through x is it worth buying his book ???

I think so, yes! You can get most, but not all of the info from his site. It's very well written with lots of key summaries. His site's so vast...

Right I'll get it ordered then ...nice to have it all in a book and it'll make a great holiday read x

Let me know what it's like Nic. I was thinking about ordering Everyday Paleo as the reviews are good and will expand my recipes a bit. May have to wait til next payday though!.

Just like to say I am so much happier on this eating plan. Feeling better and really enjoying my food. I'm thinking I may do Whole 30 but won't start that for another week or so.

Big Primal hugs to you :)
