Hi butter is fine / I buy tesco organic for 1.60, the normal tesco salted butter is £1.40 so for .20p more I'm ok with that..,

I buy KTC coconut oil from tesco is about £2.55 for 500g lasts me 1-2 weeks is not the best but it is affordable :)

Dinner looks ok but I would add in some more veg, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots cabbage, spinach etc

Thanks maybe I should get coconut oil or just try cooking chicken in water. Can you use frozen veg?

Yes frozen is ok, fresh is better :) and even better is organic but it is what you can afford and what you can fit into your lifestyle. I use a combination of all 3 depending on how I'm feeling and what looks nice at the supermarket.,

Many ways of cooking grill, roast, fry etc if your making soup yes boil the chicken ..

Cooking with butter and good oils is ok, your just starting some people change over quickly others slowly .. But it's your choice how primal / paleo you go and how quickly.

Thanks I want to start quite quick I have all ready given up dairy and carbs to prepare. Yea was hard to give up. I'm just waiting for the 30 day book from the apple site to come now. I don't like veg lots but will get used to it. My budget is quite low. I'm trying a fast day today thought I could so two a week. I just eat when I'm Hungary on this diet I hope that's ok. I usually have apples as snack and for breakfast sometimes. I had eggs and mushroom for breakfast a lot to.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your journey Katy.

Thanks x

Just thought I'd put my 2 pence worth in ;)

I buy 250g KTC coconut oil for £1. If you are anywhere near an Indian supermarket/shop, they tend to stock them cheaply. Same goes for stuff like flaxseed/linseed. I always have bought them cheaper here than in a regular supermarket. Once I find out what other ingredients can be bought cheaper for the same quality, I'll pass on the info for anyone who needs it. I have experimented enough with recipes beyond the basic vegetables, fruit and meat to know what other stuff I can cook with.

Glad to see I can get coconut oil cheaper than sainsburys - I paid £6 for the Lucy bee one - it is good stuff and organic :) and tastes incredible in eggs

I have been on it for almost a month now and I feel great. I have lost almost 20 pounds and I am still going.
