Biggest challenge to starting the Paleo diet

I've heard a lot of good things about the Paleo diet so I'm seriously considering starting it this Monday.

But I'd like to hear from some of the veterans - what was the hardest part to starting off?

Stopping bread was the hardest thing I think.. Plus the carb withdrawal ..

Cutting out bread is going to be tough. My entire family was raised on bread! But hey, if I'm serious then I'm going to have to make some sacrifices...I guess :(

Okay, I'm going for it! What do I have to lose :)

Have you tried the Keto diet? I've heard that is good as well.

Definitely bread and pasta but then I do occasionally have croissants as I missed those. But I started with the idea of being 75/80% paleo anyway. I thought not having pasta would be hard but when I do a pasta sauce, or make somethign like lasagna I have what I call courgette spaghetti instead, I just fry strips of courgette in some butter with some garlic and that's great.

Might give that a go...I made a bolognese the other day...just had the sauce without the pasta!!

The paleo diet I was put on was part of the "bio signature" diet and I was allowed 3 cheat meals a week for the first week, then 2 the second week and 1 from there after. That saved me, plus you could have a moderate amount of 70% dark chocolate or higher and red wine. Also 20 fish oils a day in the first week and then 10 the following week.

After a few years of no bread I really don't miss it. Every so often I try a bite to check - frankly it smell better than it tastes! Try cabbage cut in strips - our family favourite nowawadays is cab Bol :)
