    Paleo / Clean Eating

    Hi everyone!

I've been an avid slimming world follower for years now and in May 2013 after gaining over 4 stone I have birth to my beautiful daughter. It took me until the end of July 2013 to finally kick my bum into gear and get on the dieting wagon. I am now 3st 10lb lighter and I'm struggling with the last 13lb....this will take me to 7lb lower than I was pre pregnancy but this is my ultimate goal.

I've invested in som clean eating books, a hula hoops, some kettle bells and I'm ready to go.

I used to be in the gym 4 times a weeks before having her and I haven't been at all since. I think this is why I still can't fit in my shorts!!

So my question is is paleo similar to clean eating? I'm going to need some support and I love Minis!

    Thanks

    Nikki

Eating clean or following the Paleo diet involves eating mainly fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, meat, poultry and seafood.

When eating clean, you can also consume legumes, whole grains and low-fat dairy products, giving you more variety in your diet. Moderate amounts of dark chocolate, red wine and unrefined sweeteners -- like honey and maple syrup -- are also allowed.

I eat Primal which doesn't allow me legumes, whole grain or low fat dairy. But I can have full fat dairy, potato and rice in moderation.I keep away from them as they are my bloating foods.
If you want it enough you won't keep finding excuses to not do it.

What fits your schedule better -- Exercising 1 hour a day or being f** 24 hours a day?”

"I don’t think there’s any excuse for women not to stay in shape. We just need to stop gorging, put on our trainers, and use some self-control. No one else is going to do it for us." Linda Barker

    “Eating crappy food isn't a reward -- it's a punishment.” ― Drew Carey

Paleo since Apr 2012 9st 9lbs got to 8st 7lbs October 2012 and with focus, exercise and motivation have stayed below 9st since.
Hard work and dedication pays off.No time for excuses if you really want to loss the weight.
I can now enjoy special occasions without having to worry about what the scales will say after.

Thanks for this! Is good to hear from someone that knows what they are talking about.

I bloat like crazy with things like pasta and bread and so I'm going to try and avoid them.

I think I'll have a read up on both of them and see which will be better for me.

    Thanks
