I got the Primal Toad smoothie book but haven't tried any yet.
Can't seem to get organised lately.

    I know that feeling!

Had the very beginnings of a cold yesterday morning so made this (fiery!) smoothie. Today, no symptoms! If you do as I did and use small apple/carrots to reduce the carbs/cals a bit, cut the ginger back a little too as it's very potent otherwise...

Carrot Apple Ginger Green Smoothie Recipe

    2 medium carrots, chopped
    1 medium apple, cored
2 large handfuls of baby spinach
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger root
4 to 6 ounces of filtered water

Start by adding the liquid to your blender (I use a Vitamix), followed by the soft fruit. Add the greens to your blender last. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until the smoothie is creamy.

    A nice one this morning...

    Blueberry coconut green smoothie
(2 small or 1 large serving)

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
    1/2 cup coconut milk
    1/2 cup cold water
    1 tbsp chia seeds
    3 big handfuls spinach
Few drops stevia to taste if needed
    Few ice cubes

Let the chia seeds soak in the water in the bottom of the blender while you get the other ingredients ready.

Add the blueberries, coconut milk, spinach and ice in that order and blend until smooth. This is a really thick smoothie!

I've been doing a berry and coconut smoothie but fancy adding some green! Was just wondering if you can taste the spinach quite strongly?

I can't taste it at all. If you're worried, start with one handful and see how you go. other greens like kale, parsley etc have a stronger taste but spinach is very mild.

Really nice smoothie this morning! Strawberries, pear, apple and kale. Bit more fruit than I would usually have but it IS Easter!
